how much did you spend on your kitchen

We have a large kitchen so have avoided getting a new kitchen for years. Tbh it probably could've been replaced 20 years ago but we've just lived with it and did little things here and there.

We've just been given a quote of 23k (32k before discounts)! To be fair this does include mid-range appliances and installation. The only thing we've been extravagant on is the worktops.

We're due to put the deposit down today and I just wanted to check we've not been seen coming

How much did you pay?

I would be interested to know if you all got new kitchens because you just fancied an update or was there a serious problem with your old kitchen?

By the time we replaced ours it was between 30 and 40 years old. Believe me, it needed replacing.

I had a budget of £15k. Magnet & Howdens were both around that just for the units and in fact the one I really wanted at Magnet was £16k. My fitter put the 2 designs together and took the best from them and then I ordered from DIY Kitchens £5k. Appliances were £1.5k. Quartz work tops were £4.5k. Fetching a wall out and putting an RSJ was £1.6k. I had a double doorway half bricked up and a window put in. Fitter was £1000. All in all it was bang on £15k - and it's huge !! It's a fair walk from the kitchen to the (double) sinks where the boiling water tap and the peninsula are 😀 I've since had a coloured glass splash back behind the hob for £320

27k is the cost of my new kitchen. It's quite big with everything included too.

House 1 the kitchen was perfectly good but we were extending so needed a new one to fit the new space.

House 2 was a wreck and the kitchen although not that old had been badly maintained and was poorly laid out. We took the opportunity to play with the flow/layout of the house too.

Seeing these numbers is depressing me. We need a new one as it’s breaking everywhere. We’ve times failing since we moved in... we keep postponing and 2021 was meant to be the year. We want to do it as part of an extension so hope I win euromillonz tomorrow Blush

We've put a new kitchen in every house we've moved into.
The first house had no kitchen really. Just a sink with cold water only, a cooker and a bit of worktop with a curtain underneath.
Second and third houses we extended which meant the existing kitchens no longer fitted. In any case were very old and not very good quality however both were snapped up for free after we advertised on FB
