Just in case, spoiler alert!

Sirius Black.

OP posts:
nanbread · 06/09/2020 20:42

Gelert from Beddgelert

Not sure if it might be based in truth but the story got me bad when I was a child.

Oh and Todd from Neighbours.

cookiemon666 · 06/09/2020 20:43

Several Snape, George and Sirius. And Derek from Greys Anatomy

Ilovemyhairbeingstroked · 06/09/2020 20:45

Derek Shepard - Greys anatomy
Rob Morgan - Stella

DontBeShelfish · 06/09/2020 20:47

@WitchDancer

Granny Weatherwax, even more so because I believe Sir Terry did it deliberately because his own life was ending.
Ah tits. I haven't read The Shepherd's Crown because I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to Terry. I have to go buy it now. Granny was my favourite.
oreshina · 06/09/2020 20:51

Jack Dawson...yes. and Romeo and Juliet x

VestaTilley · 06/09/2020 20:55

Omar from The Wire Shock

Bassettgirl · 06/09/2020 20:56

Tara in Buffy
Matthew in Anne of Green Gables
Matthew and Sybil in Downton Abbey
Birdie in Tottie

I am also still pretty sad about:
Mike from Breaking Bad
Daphne in Neighbours. Mainly as I feel Des never got over it.

NCGardener · 06/09/2020 20:56

Edgar in 24
Quinn in Homeland

Not because they were great characters, but for the circumstances

iheartwinter · 06/09/2020 20:56

Same as others, Nana in Royle Family, Buffy's mum. Also remember having a good sob when Belle dies in Home and Away.

Both the biggies in West Wing. My favourite series ever.

Will in the Good Wife. I was really upset - there was definitely anger that they had killed him off, as well as shock and sadness!

Also Jen in Dawson's Creek. The video she mad for her little girl. Sad

Bassettgirl · 06/09/2020 20:57

Oh, Quinn Sad

cafenoirbiscuit · 06/09/2020 20:57

Billy Lloyd-Foxe 😢

PointyMcguire · 06/09/2020 20:58

Emma Morley in One Day, actually got teary when I reached that point in the book.

fourandnomore · 06/09/2020 20:58

Rachel in Cold Feet. Brutal.

FlyingSquid · 06/09/2020 20:58

@PopcornAndWine

What Katy Did was one of my favourite books as a child, read it many times but always skipped the chapter where Aunt Izzy died as I found it too upsetting!

Lee Scoresby definitely. Barbara in CtM. Hodor. Fred in Angel. Aeris in Final Fantasy 7! And probably not one that many others will have heard of but there is a book called Red Sky in The Morning I loved as a child about a girl who has a disabled brother who dies - actually welling up even typing this thinking about it!

Red Sky in the Morning is completely devastating.
ncd5785 · 06/09/2020 20:58

Adam in Spooks
Charlotte (of the web)
Bami's mother
The animals of farthing wood upset me a lot!

NoMoreReluctantCustodians · 06/09/2020 20:59

Lady Sybil Branson. She was the nicest sister and the other 2 were bitches Angry

Also Daniel from Years and Years Sad

ncd5785 · 06/09/2020 20:59

Oh and definitely inspector Morse. I still can't re watch the last episode. It was the end of an era as well

Singlebutmarried · 06/09/2020 21:00

Joyce Summers
Wolverine/Logan
Dobby
The old lady in cocoon who’s husband wouldn’t let her in the pool and he’s stood there with her in the water sobbing when she dies.

tillytown · 06/09/2020 21:00

Johnny-Cade from The Outsiders, he didn't need to die Sad

fourandnomore · 06/09/2020 21:00

I haven’t read the full thread though as by the second page I’d found out too many and felt sad 🙈

HelloMissus · 06/09/2020 21:00

I love this.
I’m a film and TV producer and a couple of our characters have been mentioned here.
It makes me remember why I do this job.
