WTF!? Don't really like the place myself but thought we would check.. and you only get 4 slots in the pool at that!!

Insane prices!! Think I'm getting tight in my old age.

BlowingmyJets · 03/09/2020 22:56

Tight!!my god the holiday I could get my family for that price!! A holiday abroad with gorgeous b and b etc

BKCRMP · 03/09/2020 22:57

That's insane. We are doing (if covid sods off) 10 days in the Riviera next August for £1700. No way could I justify that for centre parcs

MonsteraDeliciosa · 03/09/2020 23:08

Presumably, people are willing to pay that.

More fool them!

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 03/09/2020 23:11

Blimey that’s a lot! How big is your family?

Cabinfever10 · 03/09/2020 23:12

that's out and out profiteering ShockAngry

BearFoxBear · 03/09/2020 23:13

We checked Friday - Monday during the Scottish October holidays earlier today and it was £1100! Absolutely fuck that.

WhoAmIWhoAreYou · 03/09/2020 23:16

Eeks. That's A LOT. I used to go before my DC went to school. Think I paid £400 in March (end of) for a 4 night stay in the executive Lodge. Plus £150 for added activities for them! I thought it was expensive back then. (2019)

mrsmalcolmreynolds · 03/09/2020 23:25

For how many people/what size/grade of accommodation? There must only be v few spaces left.

We are going for 4 nights in half term and it is costing c £700. That was booked in May which is when we were originally supposed to be going though.

It is fairly expensive for what it is, but not £3,500 expensive usually I don't think!

tenlittlecygnets · 03/09/2020 23:32

Will you be buying the lodge for that?? Fuck, that's expensive. Bloody greedy gits.

EasterIssland · 03/09/2020 23:33

I’ve travelled around the world loads. Every time I look at centerparcs for a change ... I end up booking another holiday abroad. Def I’m not spending that amount !

Belle1983 · 03/09/2020 23:40

Wow! I paid less for a week skiing in a decent resort!
I'd thought Centre Parcs etc may be our new holiday style when DC arrives....not at that price! 😳

ILovesPeanuts · 03/09/2020 23:46

Sounds like large and top end accommodation. I've looked at Center Parcs for October half term in last few days and it was nothing like that price.

OnceUponACat · 03/09/2020 23:47

Gosh that is a week skiing for three in a fab resorts too. No way!

justasking111 · 03/09/2020 23:48

Looked at this a few weeks ago 4 days was 3.5k. No way we were paying that.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 03/09/2020 23:49

Center parks is evidently for people.with fuck all brains and full wallets.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 03/09/2020 23:50

OP I didn't believe you so I went on the website to check and you're right lol it is £3500.

thats just silly. I honestly think they just don't care if those particular lodges are let or not.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 03/09/2020 23:51

They are taking advantage of the fact that people are so desparate for a break and unable to go abroad. Honestly, is it really necessary to be THAT greedy?

ILovesPeanuts · 03/09/2020 23:53

As far as I can see it's all sold out. It wasn't this price a week ago.

TheOrigBrave · 03/09/2020 23:56

I paid just over £500 for a week at PGL in the IoW in mid Aug. All accommodation (separate room for me and my son), meals and 4 activities a day.

People are mad.

1Morewineplease · 03/09/2020 23:57

They know that they're in prime position for holiday slots. Hence the price hike.
It's up to you to fall for their capitalisation.

It was 3 bed but just a basic lodge I think (I was DH who looked).

I've been before but not that much of a fan. Except the pool. Thing is you need to add on £100 for every crap meal they have their too.

I just think it's a bit naughty of them!

OP posts:
bridgetreilly · 04/09/2020 00:13

It's not naughty, don't be ridiculous. Either people will pay it, in which case it's a good business decision, or they won't, in which case they'll reduce the price until someone does decide to pay it. If it's not worth it to you, don't go.

ItsAllAFugazi · 04/09/2020 00:18

Supply and demand, simple.

MadameMeursault · 04/09/2020 00:20

Go to CP in Belgium instead - much cheaper and also nicer and less crowded.
