Bowie generally kept grabbing my attention from a young age. But I remember being absolutely smitten with Kate Bush in Wuthering Heights. Which isn't a purposefully sexy video, that soft focus windswept thing filled my head for many years.

Createausername · 05/09/2020 18:57

Oh goodness.... I remember mine !
Big mountain baby I love your way
I thought the guy singing it was absolutely amazing stoped me in my tracks completely and then I was obsessed 🤣 hadn’t really noticed anyone before it really just hit me 🤣🤣

Chuffingchuff · 05/09/2020 18:58

The Backstreet Boys - Quit Playing Games. I massively fancied Nick Carter 😍

noodlezoodle · 05/09/2020 19:09

Good grief, I've just watched that D'Angelo video and am feeling quite flustered.

Someone in the YouTube comments posted "I get pregnant every time I see this" Grin

doingmeheadin · 05/09/2020 19:16

Toni Braxton, Makin me high. More the words than the video, but video is still ShockBlush

EggbertHeartsTina · 05/09/2020 19:32

@topcat2014 amazing! It was their “Wild!” tour from London Arena. I wish I’d been born earlier so I could’ve experienced them then, but I would only have been 3 Grin

@walksonthebeach

New Kids on The Block. Step by Step 😃
Yes!
MaxNormal · 05/09/2020 19:48

@SugarMiceInTheRain it was those tights I think - looks like they had a sock in them!

CorvusPurpureus · 05/09/2020 19:49

The Damned doing Eloise on TOTP. Dave Vanian's eyebrow .

Oddly enough I then went on to know him quite well (managed a music venue, dated a bloke whose band supported the Damned a few times).

He's absolutely bloody lovely. I still used to come over all peculiar in his presence for years. I did once tell him I'd had a bit of an 'oooft' moment over the eyebrow & he giggled a lot & said he'd had some very 'interesting' fan letters.

God he was gorgeous!

Love in an Elevator

Go on then, Steve let's be having you

managedmis · 05/09/2020 19:53

Don't laugh but my first crush was Peter Duckworth

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 05/09/2020 19:55

I LOVED Suede back in the 90s but Brett Anderson was way too androgynous to ring my bell. However he's got MUCH more masculine looking as he's got older . Watching this gave me a bit of a reawakening...

Now that's what a rock star looks like

@AriesTheRam same! I was never keen on take that much until that song. Swooned over Mark Owen. Not so keen now he’s so hairy!

Becca8675309 · 05/09/2020 20:02

Michael Hutchence. In anything.

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 05/09/2020 20:10

Not even a video - the first line of The Wild Ones by Suede. Brett Anderson’s voice

SoPanny · 05/09/2020 20:11

The video for “I feel you” by Depeche Mode absolutely blew my mind and will still make me a bit squirmy to this day

Dave Gahan was just walking sex for me around then, pity he was also doing fucktons of drugs though. As a hormonally budding 12 year old I just wanted to look and look at him loads and would patiently wait on the Chart Show playing even the tiniest Depeche Mode clip from then.

God, even typing this is making me need a cold shower.

Thebearsbunny · 05/09/2020 20:18

Kate Bush in the Wuthering Heights video. I’m straight but it still does it for me.
David Sylvian singing Quiet Life. Such a beautiful man.
The Cults Ian Astbury singing She Sells Sanctuary. He literally drips sex.

GrizzlebumsMum · 05/09/2020 21:02

Yet another one for Michael Hutchence in INXS Need You Tonight. He was beautiful.

FrenchBoule · 05/09/2020 22:29

George Michael-Father Figure
Joe Cocker- You Can Leave Your Hat On
Robert Palmer-Addicted to Love
Billy Idol- Cradle of Love
Madonna- Vogue

Prince-Get Off ( I don’t think I fully understood the lyrics at the time seeing as English is my second language but video is ...fascinating and the rhythm is...right

Belois-Imagination

SpeedofaSloth · 05/09/2020 22:31

China Girl by David Bowie.

The3rdWatermelon · 05/09/2020 22:44

Adam Ant for me too. I got the video (actual vhs) collection of all his music videos and I watched Physical (You’re So) live in Manchester so many times it developed fuzzy lines across it.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=VusbSlufwmM

He’s old enough to be my father, quite easily, but I saw him live on my birthday last year, in the front row, with my long suffering DH. Definitely still would!

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 05/09/2020 23:26

It think it was Patrick Swayze's moves during the last song in Dirty Dancing that did for me. RIP Patrick!

Poppadumpony · 05/09/2020 23:36

I can’t think what the first one was back in my tween years, but when I first started going out as an older teen, Bringing Sexy Back, by Justin Timberlake.
Heavy stuff!!
