So Next have always been pretty good for service and logistics but lately the things I've ordered online never turn up, obviously they take the money and I've opted to click and collect next day and then nothing happens, it doesn't even leave the warehouse on their tracker. Customer services don't respond either.
Has anyone else had an issue with this? I wonder if they're struggling. I would say it may be COVID related but I haven't had an issue with any other retailer.
This has happened twice now, I'm not sure I'll bother again.

I’ve had a similar problem. Ordered an item last Monday with next day delivery. It still hasn’t arrived. Can’t even get through to anyone. Will think twice before ordering from them again.

I had a great experience with them. ordered 23.00 on Friday and it was delivered Monday morning.
Matalan on the other hand took 10 plus days to get me my order.

Next lost their way in the mid-90s. It was originally designed to appeal to the gap between M&S and Jaeger, but more modern, and the clothes were beautiful, with great quality fabrics and lovely little details like pretty buttons, and lovely leather and suede shoes and boots . It was a trendier Laura Ashley and had really great sales (it used to be worth queuing at 5am for beginning of the January sales). Now it’s not much more than a New Look with delusions of grandeur. It became a bit of a jack of all trades and lost its core market and has being trying to be too many things to too many people. I used to work in one when I was a student and absolutely loved it.
That's exactly how I feel about Next. Their knitwear was gorgeous and I remember saying to a colleague about how the number of Next carrier bags on the High Street outnumbered the M&S ones.

Quite sad really.

I ordered some Fortnite PJs for my son's birthday with Next using click and collect. I got the email/text to say it had arrived in store the next afternoon which I thought was good. Went in the morning to collect it to be told they'd sent it back to warehouse because it had been there too long?! The parcel had been in store for just over 6hrs! I then had to reorder (reluctantly) so my son could have his pyjamas he wanted.

I'm surprised by this, I order often from them, both to home and in-store click and collect orders. Never had any problems at all.

I've been ordering loads from them recently (including stuff for my neighbour who desperately needed school trousers) and everything has turned up within 2-3 days. There was one item which they did text to say was delayed but they gave me a new delivery date but then it turned up two days early!

I went to a store recently for the first time in a long time and was shocked by how shit it was. Clothes terrible, even the children's clothes... very poor choice and limited sizes in what they did have.

I don't really order from them anymore, I don't live near one so can't return in store and hate having to wait in for a courier to collect returns plus the quality is so hit and miss.

I used to buy 70% of my clothes there but it's one of the last places I'd think to look now.

I don’t think they’re in trouble. They use third party suppliers and delivery companies and Covid has caused a boom in online sales. This mixed with reduced staff across the board is causing issues. I personally find them brilliant

I've had two orders go missing in the last 4 weeks, and whilst their customer service has been very apologetic, it's extremely frustrating. One of the orders was quite a large one, all things I ordered in the sale for my daughter to take to Uni with her.

Yes I’ve had this with two items from Next recently. They sat there for ages never leaving the warehouse and then eventually Next cancelled them and refunded me. I’ve been assuming it is a Covid related logistics issue or something

Visited our local retail park Next the other day, to spend DS’s birthday gift card, as usual we were the only ones in the (largish) childrenswear dept. Everything that we liked the look of was not available in DS’s size, very frustrating. It’s no wonder people order stuff online when the stores don’t have their size in.

Had two similar things with them- both times ordered some clothes for DC, something in each order wasn’t sent and was told ‘delayed but no idea when it will be back on stock’. Left it 3 ish weeks, requested refund- was so difficult to get them to agree- they kept emailing a week after my email to say ‘sorry they’ve not arrived- do you want a refund?’ But not actually refunding me. Got refunds both times in the end, but so much hassle involved. I don’t order from them now

I've ordered some winter stuff for DC and nearly all of it has been delayed 2-3 weeks!!

Had no problems with delivery but the quality is shocking on some items I have bought. Son’s trainers fell apart after being worn twice, other things have been the same so I am stopping buying from there again.

I ordered something last week that was going to arrive Saturday (yesterday) because of back to school shopping I suddenly doubted myself that I’d ordered so logged into check. Nothing on my account, no confirmation email, nothing. It was a branded item that I then ordered direct to their own store and collected today. This evening I’ve had a text from Next informing me my item is ‘still waiting for collection from store’. I didn’t even get a notification it had arrived. I’ve still not had any email and it’s still not showing on my online account.

I buy from there for my autistic teen who lives in their joggers and its been really hard to get any for him (he's grown about 3" during lockdown so his slightly too small ones are now like capri pants) because they have very little stock on his size.

Most of the time Next delivery is absolutely fine. It turns up the next day. But when it goes wrong it goes really wrong. I've had half an order turn up at my address and half sent to an old address, I've had orders sent to the wrong depot, and a few occasions where I've had completely random items show up. I ordered baby shoes and got a bikini top, and once ordered a tshirt and got some very ugly sandals in the wrong size.

I’m not in the uk but they have a website here and their delivery is really fast. I’d be gutted if they went out of business - it’s the best place for me to buy clothes for my very tall son & I’ve had some good bargains in the online sales

I placed an order at the end of June in the sale. Thrilled to get done trainers my daughter was after and two shirts I loved.

Showed in my account as due to be delivered 20th August. Rang up yesterday - oh we’ve lost it, sorry!! Gutted.

I’m not a huge fan of the women’s clothes. They often seem a bit drab these days.

I’ve had the same OP with delivery. Order says it will come next day but turns up in five.

I’m actually not bothered about it taking longer as I presume their processes are different due to the virus. What I do take issue with is them setting my expectations for the next day and not meeting them!

Last time I placed an order it was for Adidas stuff for my teenager. Items showed as available on the website then only two out of the three arrived and the third was to follow after, but after a month or so nothing had arrived. But Next wouldn't let me cancel that part of the order. They wouldn't cancel it until a few weeks later when they decided to cancel it.

This was before lockdown, so it wasn't even related to that.

I wonder what their huge logistics issue is? It's just got worse and worse. Still no news on my jumper I ordered last week and zero response from customer services 🙄

I continue to get really good service from them and I'm consistently happy with the quality of their clothes. Just got a bunch of school uniform clothing. I really can't fault Next and haven't noticed any changes in quality or service.
