Anyway I’ve just gone on Amazon (we share an account because it has prime membership) and looked at most recent orders and he has ordered lube and three new tops... am I overthinking to think that he is planning to launch himself straight away into someone new with a whole new sex life? He literally never buys new clothes.

I can fully understand why you're upset. If he's never used lube to masturbate and never buys new clothes I can totally see why you've assumed it's been ordered to start having sex with someone new and just because you've split it up it doesn't mean feelings are switched off, it sounds like you've been together a very long time and I can understand why you'd be hurt at him preparing to have sex with someone less than 24 hours after you've split.

I think some people have been a bit harsh. I wouldn't start buying condoms and getting in a tit for tat childish game. Its surely much more likely he is buying lube for wanking. I've known many more men who do this than I have men who actually have the wherewithal or co consideration to purchase lube thinking of a female partners comfort.
