I’ve been chucked out of bed

Pictures are the culprits who despite their small size, take up an alarming amount of room. I can’t move them, “let sleeping dogs lie”!

That all said, my very silly sister, has two yorkies who she allows free in the car while she's driving. Whenever the car slows down, like when she's coming up to a roundabout or in a town, the two dogs, run around the car and up onto her lap. I've tried giving her a stern talking to that she's likely to cause an accident, but she won't listen. Stupidity of enormous proportions.

asprinklingofsugar · 24/08/2020 03:33

My yorkie chihuahua mix is doing exactly the same to me. But he's very cute so he always gets away with it!

jessstan2 · 24/08/2020 03:49

The middle one looks like a leg of mutton! What breed is that?

Desperado24 · 24/08/2020 03:55

Another one who things it’s gross, sorry.

You, your bed, your clothes and you whole house will stink of dog - but dog people don’t smell it. It’s vile

Howallergic · 24/08/2020 04:04

I went to my ex MIL house once and wasn't warned that there was a resident cat. I didn't have an adequate amount of meds with me as we were supposed to visit for a couple of hours, but then my exes friend's sister died (why we were there) so we had to stay for a few days. I had to get piriton and an emergency ventolin inhaler from the pharmacy. I'm chronically allergic to animals and birds, including rashes, swollen eyes, struggles breathing, itching etc. I love pets, but can't have one unfortunately. I have actually started sneezing just looking at the picture of the dogs on the bed - coincidence probably.

Alison421e · 24/08/2020 04:33

Awww what cuties!

SoleBizzz · 24/08/2020 04:35

Yuck. Chuck em off!

Boomerwang · 24/08/2020 04:40

It doesn't matter where you make your bed, your dogs will want to lie on it with you :)

FenellaMaxwell · 24/08/2020 04:46

I have been joined during the course of the night by 1 3 year old, 2 dogs (one of whom is bloody massive), and 1 cat. Who isn’t even our cat, it’s the neighbours’ but has firmly befriended our dogs. I’ve given up on sleep, hence mumsnet.

Angelina82 · 24/08/2020 05:08

You are being unreasonable for saying that you have been chucked out of bed when you are quite clearly in it. Okay you might not be able to move a muscle, but some people have to share their beds with 3 or more dogs so quit complaining and switch off your phone. The light might disturb the dogs! Grin

Greyblueeyes · 24/08/2020 05:08

Yep. I'm going to have to agree with the majority here. It's their bed. They just happen to be kind enough to share it Smile

Morfin · 24/08/2020 05:13

Do you think that if they got to choose the wallpaper they would have people on it?

Greyblueeyes · 24/08/2020 05:13

Lol. I find it hilarious that the neighbor's cat has helped kick you out of bed.

@Howallergic

I'm happy to be classed as a very silly human. My dog sleeps on the bed with me and I'm not allergic so no problems there. I agree though, loose dogs running around a car is dangerous, for them and their owners.

frankie001 · 24/08/2020 07:24

They have dog seat belts attached. @Purpledaisychain

I thought this was going to be a LTB thread.
But it's far cuter.

frankie001 · 24/08/2020 07:26

@Morfin nope, sausages!!!

lidoshuffle · 24/08/2020 07:28

Great photo Frankie. I don't think I've seen a shorn pekinese before (or I've not recognised one as such); Mimi (and Chewy) is really cute.

frankie001 · 24/08/2020 07:31

@lidoshuffle she is a rescue and I’ve had her 5 months now. She was not happy in the heat so went for haircut and came out like a puppy! Here is her normally.

YABU to complain when they're letting you sleep in their bed.

Our dog and 3 cats are also gracious enough to let us sleep on their bed, very good of them really.

Trailing1 · 24/08/2020 07:33

This is the cutest thing I have seen in a while!

DysonFury · 24/08/2020 07:48

I sleep beneath DD6's legs and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier every night. It's lovely!

vanillandhoney · 24/08/2020 08:26

Super cute!

I woke up to me beagle curled up in the crook of my knees using me as a pillow!

Purpledaisychain · 24/08/2020 09:54

@frankie001
I was responding to a PP who mentioned how her sister's dogs are loose and run around the car and into her lap when she is driving.

frankie001 · 24/08/2020 10:13

@Purpledaisychain thanks for clarifying, it’s annoys me too!
