Document folder. Everything else could easily be replaced.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 22/08/2020 17:24

Handbag
Old photo albums of my parents and grandparents who have all passed away
Phone

Everything else can be replaced easily and I can access all insurance/emergency contacts and details from my phone and pay for/get to a hotel if I have my handbag.

The two separate baby boxes I have for DD and DS. It has their coming home outfit, hospital bracelets, hospital name cards, and welcome/new baby cards from friends and family. The third item would be our wedding album. I have all of the photos but it would likely never get made into an album again.
We relocated a couple of years ago and it was amazing to see how much of the things I though were special was just stuff!

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 23/08/2020 01:15

DH's ashes
Macbook (all photos are on it)
The dress and jacket DH bought me to wear for his funeral

I know mine sound incredibly sad and a bit morbid but they are the things that truly mean the most to me apart from DS. Everything else is replaceable.

DidSheReallySayThat20 · 23/08/2020 01:24

Photo albums
Filing box
Handbag

Everything else is replaceable.
although I have probably over 40 full photo albums of my kids growing up doubt I could carry them all.

DidSheReallySayThat20 · 23/08/2020 01:25

Actually swap the filing box for the kids keepsake boxes

Childhood soft toy
Childhood dolly

An Everton Mints tin my Great Granny owned (it has my key documents in it, but they’re easily replaced, it’s the tin I love- held the best treats of my whole childhood) and my Dyson hairdryer. Everything else I recon I could live without or replace easily!

Leaannb · 28/08/2020 00:08

Absolutely nothing.

DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes · 28/08/2020 00:18

Handbag - so I have purse, keys, phone etc.
A memory box that has stuff from our wedding and from when DS was a baby.
A hard copy photo that is on my bookcase which was the result of loads of research to uncover a family mystery.
I would try to grab whatever book I'm reading at the time too.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 28/08/2020 00:19

those of you saying 'the safe' - is not the point of a safe that it is too heavy to carry, so won't get stolen, and is fireproof so won't burn?

I'd hate to see my DH try to wrestle that. He would be spinning in circles around his cameras/Fancy Mac/multiple custom made guitars. THEN he would grab the cat and me. That's all that really matters.

I'd grab my passport and purse. If DH and the cat are okay, then all else will be fine. Nothing matters more than them.

Car and caravan keys (so at least we have a bed for the night!)
My handbag
Mobility scooter

The good wine. Might as well drown one's sorrows...

CuntyMcBollocks · 28/08/2020 01:54

The jewelry given to me by family members before they passed away

My daughter's favourite cuddly doll

Irreplaceable family photos
