AIBU?

AIBU to be fed up with my niece and nephews each holiday?

Every holiday my two teenage nephews and their 10 year old sister descend on my quiet home. We live in the country in Dorset, there's just me, my DH who is an academic and works in the study, teenage DD (who appears to be experimenting with being genderfluid) and the dog.

I really don't mind having the extra children in the house. But they keep getting into adventures and the Police have been involved in the past. And they get through a LOT of ginger beer.

AIBU to say I've had enough of their scrapes and mysteries?

@Bettercallsaul1 glad to hear it. Maybe she has the makings of monitor? I can only hope she finds some good influences.

I believe she has a jolly nice friend called Jennifer, with a sensible straight-cut fringe, who is keeping her on the straight and narrow, minisoksmakehardwork. Certainly Mummy and Daddy saw a big difference in her at half term!

But then I do think that if a gel comes from a decent, middle-class family with a cook and housemaid, she bound to turn out right in the end!

Fanny, in your shoes I’d be getting out my bike, torch and potted meat sandwiches, and joining the kids on their trips. Unless Quentin is pretty fucking spectacular in the sack, there isn’t exactly a lot going for you in your marriage to Mr Shouty, is there?

And why isn’t he at a university or research institute? Surely he can’t do much useful research in a small study in a seaside cottage?

He’s actually in the employ of MI5, HolyPillow - the academic job is just a front. Where do you think his daughter got her sleuthing genes from?
