To think I’ve either been super unlucky with clearblue or had a miscarriage?

Baby is four months old. My periods have been erratic, I took the morning after pill last month and on 21st July experienced a nine day bleed, so stopped bleeding on 30th July. During this bleed I took a pregnancy test and it was completely negative (doctors did one too).

I had a couple of weird pregnancy symptoms, so I decided to take a test and got a very faint positive. This was on Saturday. Since, I’ve been taking tests most days and I’ve had seven faint positives on clear blue, two digital negatives, a faint line on a cheap test which I’m sure was an evap line, and four first response negatives. I took a FR today and I think I may be something very, very faint but I also think I might be having line eyes.

The lines haven’t got any darker since Saturday, so I’m wondering whether I’ve just had seven faulty clear blues, or perhaps a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy.

I have a doctors appointment next Tuesday, but just wanted to see if I could get any insight? My last baby I tested positive at 5 weeks, and it was very clear.

I’ve got slight stomach cramps but very very lightly.

I put it into an app to invert the exposure and there isn't anything so I must be wrong (and lockdown is getting to my eyes!) it won't let me upload the image as it says the file type isn't supported but you can download apps to invert which make the lines clearer (if they are there).

Climbingallthetrees · 14/08/2020 23:03

You have taken 14 pregnancy tests when you’re only 3 weeks ish pregnant max? I’m sure you realise that it is too early to be able to get reliable results either way. There are faint lines on the clearblues, but so faint that they could be evaps. Do you desperately want to be pregnant or desperately not want to be? This is a LOT of testing for this stage, even in the world of test addicts.

daisblush · 14/08/2020 23:11

I would maybe get a digital one so it's crystal clear but if you're only 3ish weeks it may be the reason they're so faint. I'd expect them to be getting darker over a week though.

That's a lot of tests!

SuckingDownDarjeeling · 15/08/2020 00:18

I'll admit I'm not the most knowledgeable about these things, but with the amount of money you've spent on tests at this stage would it not be more reassuring for you to get a clearblue digital test? Also, do you mind sharing which result you're hoping for? X

MsEllany · 15/08/2020 00:56

I can’t see a line on any of them and I have turned my brightness right up.

Is there a reason you’re obsessively testing now and not waiting another week or so? You said you’d only be three weeks, and you took the MAP as well.

I think it’s more likely the symptoms are actually stress.

Breastfeedingworries · 15/08/2020 01:03

When I did my test I got a clear dark blue positive. These threads with the Evap lines are so baffling.

Confused wait few days and try in the morning. Read the packet, blue line should be a dark cross.

Osirus · 15/08/2020 01:07

None of those are positive. Clear Blue are notorious for evaporation lines. You’d see if you search it.

The only one I’d trust is the FR, and that is very plainly negative.

BluebellForest836 · 15/08/2020 01:08

Clearblue are shit and you shouldn’t even look at them after the time limit is done because of evap.

I can’t see anything on the FR.

nc600 · 15/08/2020 01:51

Do you want to be pregnant? With a 4 month old baby? That's a lot of tests and they all look negative to me

namechangeokay · 15/08/2020 01:56

@Breastfeedingworries I just had a baby.. I am aware of that, as I stated in the post. But for a lot of people, especially early on, tests are very faint. I even noted that with my baby, I tested negative until 5 weeks.

@BluebellForest836 All of the clear blue results appeared within one minute of testing.

Why don’t you check on a digital?

SuckingDownDarjeeling · 15/08/2020 13:21

OP, honestly, are you able to tell us what result you're hoping for? And why you don't want to use a digital test? You seem to be in a bit of a frenzy and it might help to open up.

Heyha · 15/08/2020 13:28

I think your clearblues look mostly positive (one I'm not sure but I think that's the photo) so without the FRER I'd say you were either PG or had a chemical (just had one myself) but the FRER is so sensitive and has such a barely there glimpse of colour I'd be doing another one of them if anything. I don't think the digitals are as sensitive so I get why you're holding off that, OP, but if it were me I'd do one last FRER and treat that as my answer tbh.

Emsie20 · 15/08/2020 13:57

Hi, im new to this site and not sure if messaging in the right place but was wondering if anyone can help as Im so anxious. Last week done a test and was a faint positive, I've since over course of the week done several other tests branded and supermarket tests. All reading faint positives. I've done clear blue digital which showed pregnant 1-2 weeks. First response which had clear lines but all others have been very faint bearly visible. I've experienced lots of cramps but no bleeding. The lines have not got any darker over this last week. I must add this will be my fourth pregnancy but haven't experienced anything like this or the cramps. My breasts are sore and full like when you due period. Someone told me cramps could be implantation cramps an im feeling everything more intense with me being older and had previous pregnacies and that I've just found out very early but why aren't test results getting darker then? Im worrying like mad don't know if missed miscarriage or it is just very early. Dr not doing blood test until next week said should wait another week 😔
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Xx

RyanBergarasTeeth · 15/08/2020 14:04

They all look negative to me like indentation lines. But could be too early to tell or could be a chemical. Sadly only time will tell there's no way of knowing unless you either start bleeding or get a strong positive line.

Grapewrath · 15/08/2020 14:06

Why not take a clear blue digital op

Nottherealslimshady · 15/08/2020 14:07

I can see them. They're very faint. I'd say a chemical pregnancy I'm afraid.

SuckingDownDarjeeling · 15/08/2020 14:11

@Emsie20 if you go to the conception board and start a new thread, people will be much better able to help you xx

Trashtara · 15/08/2020 16:51

Why not take a clear blue digital op

Because they are far, far less sensitive than a first response. If a first response is negative a digital will be a total waste of money.

SuckingDownDarjeeling · 15/08/2020 17:26

I'm sure having a four month old baby already means that OP is desperate for this to be negative. I can't think of a reason why you'd want to put your body through that. Just be reassured OP, you don't need to worry. The majority here see negative. You'll be okay x

namechangeokay · 15/08/2020 18:00

Sorry, been asleep most of the day as I am so tired and don’t know why. DP let me sleep but I do feel bad about it. Yes I do want it to be negative which I guess is why I’m frantically doing tests - though haven’t tested today and plan on just waiting to see if anything shows next week at the doctors. I have done a digital test as stated in the OP but was negative, and due to knowing they’re not as sensitive I’m not doing anymore.

I can see lines on all the clear blues but not the first response. Experience has taught me that the clear blue tests cannot be trusted when it comes to faint lines.

Treaclepie19 · 22/08/2020 15:07

How did you get on @namechangeokay?
