To think I’ve either been super unlucky with clearblue or had a miscarriage?

Baby is four months old. My periods have been erratic, I took the morning after pill last month and on 21st July experienced a nine day bleed, so stopped bleeding on 30th July. During this bleed I took a pregnancy test and it was completely negative (doctors did one too).

I had a couple of weird pregnancy symptoms, so I decided to take a test and got a very faint positive. This was on Saturday. Since, I’ve been taking tests most days and I’ve had seven faint positives on clear blue, two digital negatives, a faint line on a cheap test which I’m sure was an evap line, and four first response negatives. I took a FR today and I think I may be something very, very faint but I also think I might be having line eyes.

The lines haven’t got any darker since Saturday, so I’m wondering whether I’ve just had seven faulty clear blues, or perhaps a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy.

I have a doctors appointment next Tuesday, but just wanted to see if I could get any insight? My last baby I tested positive at 5 weeks, and it was very clear.

I’ve got slight stomach cramps but very very lightly.

OP instead of spending however much on these tests just buy the clear blue digital that says in words pregnant or not pregnant.

CottonSock · 14/08/2020 18:07

They look negative to me. First response are very sensitive, you would see a line even before period due.

Prettybluepigeons · 14/08/2020 18:08

All negative to me. If they were positive it would be obvious surely.

namechangeokay · 14/08/2020 18:11

Thanks everyone. It’s just that last time I tested negative until I was 5 weeks gone.

I always bought the cheapest pregnancy tests going so no experience of CB or FR, but tests were very obvious from 4 weeks.

Sweeptheleg · 14/08/2020 18:24

Digital or bust. You often get weird lines like that on the middle photo test.

ViciousJackdaw · 14/08/2020 18:26

Yeah, they all look negative. You say you've recently had the MAP so maybe sort out a more reliable form of contraception.

Sexnotgender · 14/08/2020 18:30

All look positive except the FR.

BritWifeinUSA · 14/08/2020 18:56

MAP was over three weeks ago so if there was a pregnancy you’d see more of a line. I can’t see a line on any of the tests in the pictures. At 5.5 weeks you’d expect to see something stronger than a shadow that you can only see if you enlarge the photo and squint at it.

ILoveFood87 · 14/08/2020 19:02

I can't see any lines. I do need glasses though.

AntiHop · 14/08/2020 19:06

I can lines on some of them. Keep testing. I found the pound land ones very reliable.

MaryShelley1818 · 14/08/2020 19:22

I can see a faint positive on all of them. Can't understand how people can't see those lines.

Treaclepie19 · 14/08/2020 19:22

I can see lines on them all (brightness turned up makes it easy). Even the frer.

namechangeokay · 14/08/2020 19:43

If I was pregnant I would be three weeks currently. I also truly do see lines on all of those photos. I guess I’ll just see whether I get a period or not.

@namechangeokay sounds about right then. I always find out about 3w 3days and its ridiculously faint. Doesn't normally show up on photos.

CottonSock · 14/08/2020 20:46

This is my screen shot on max brightness on a good phone

I agree, CottonSocks. I have my phone quite dim!

Trashtara · 14/08/2020 21:29

The clear blues have lines. But clear blues almost always have lines because they are shit.

I can't see anything on the pink dye one and that's what I'd trust. I wouldn't get yourself worked up about it being a chemical. I just think clear blue are crap.

EyeSeeWhatYouDidThere · 14/08/2020 21:44

That's the line on my FR on the day before my period was due (not FMU). I can't speak for the ClearBlue ones myself but I know one of my DSis friends had a chemical pregnancy and she had similar lines on hers. Flowers

TingTastic · 14/08/2020 22:18

A couple of the clear blue tests have clear lines (ie no colour) so look like evaps to me. Can’t see anything at all on the FR

BigOlButt · 14/08/2020 22:21

I can see it on the CB but not FR.

I really hate these CB ones, I've had similar before and not been pregnant.

BigOlButt · 14/08/2020 22:22

Also, I think I read once that blue dye tests are notorious for this kind of thing. Pink is better.

Babyg1995 · 14/08/2020 22:37

Blue dye tests are terrible for evap lines honestly op get a digital boots own brand are the best ones I got my result 3 days before my period was due .

Mogtheforgetfulmum · 14/08/2020 22:44

I can see a line on that. It's ridiculously faint though. I've had chemicals and they looked like this.

See what the doctor says.
