To think having massive saggy boobs is horrid and want surgery?

I'm bursting out of my 36J bras. They are soo saggy too and so heavy.

I've just had a shower, but realised I'd left my bra in the room DP is settling DS down to sleep in so I've put a vest top on with no bra and feel gross, saggy and am already covered in boob sweat. 😭 I was meant to be putting the rubbish out but it will now have to wait until I can retrieve a bra.

I get lower back pain during the night too.
Oh and my nipples now literally point south at the end of my massive saggy boobs. 😭

They've always been big but DS2, breastfeeding, and weight gain during pnd seems to have finished them off and I'm so self conscious and down.

I can probably never afford surgery anyway but AIBU to want it? If I won the lottery its the first thing I'd do.

Is it the kind of thing you csn get done on the NHS, not for cosmetic reasons but to alleviate the back pain?

YeahWhatevver · 11/08/2020 20:43

*assuming you're in the UK of course

TerracottaTortoise · 11/08/2020 20:44

YANBU to want it whether it'll happen or not.

Mine are 'only' 36D but they hang and their full weight lies on my lower rib cage. I'm saving up for a boob lift and it will literally change my life.

FYI you can pay a deposit and pay the rest in instalments most places

WilheldivaHater · 11/08/2020 20:44

Would it be worth seeing if you can have a reduction on the NHS? I have no experience of it but if the size of your breasts are causing you back pain maybe you could get some help?

TerracottaTortoise · 11/08/2020 20:45

I think it's quite tricky to go the NHS route and from what I have found out they don't care much about the final aesthetic it's more about getting the job done to address the medical problem

WilheldivaHater · 11/08/2020 20:45

Also, have you tried M&S vest tops with the inner support? Mine are only a 34G but I certainly find this tops more comfortable for around the house and sleeping in.

MooChops89 · 11/08/2020 20:46

YANBU, mine aren't as big as yours (36H) but they're also saggy and my nipples point to the floor, after weight gain and 2 DC. I'd love at least a boob lift, but would probs need something to fill them out a bit too. There's loads of stuff I'd have done if I had the money (things that would never be solved with diet and exercise alone)

Member869894 · 11/08/2020 20:51

I feel your pain op. I am the same size and hate my boobs. I look and feel.so matronly I would love to be able to wear a little vest top without a thought.
If I had money it would be the first thing I would doox

CoopsMalloops · 11/08/2020 20:53

Yeah if you are in the UK you may be able to have a reduction on the NHS because it is affecting your life negatively.

I am having an explant with the NHS as my implants are doing that to my life but they will not reconstruct because that is classed as cosmetic - but I am on the waiting list because “elective” surgery is on the back burner because of Covid.

Good luck x

Justgivemesomepeace · 11/08/2020 20:56

I feel for you. Mine are so uncomfortable. No matter what bra I try nothing is comfortable. Im same size as you and the weight is terrible. They feel like they are crushing my ribs and if i lift them and hold them up the relief is brilliant. But i cant sit here holding my tits in the air all day. My shoulders and top of my chest constantly feel like Ive slept funny, but im sure its the weight.
So in my opinion YANBU at all.

june2007 · 11/08/2020 20:57

My sil had a reduction, she had to try and loose weight first. Which she did, she has since had the boob job but is still ging to the gym. Worth askig at GP,s.

Insearchoffitness · 11/08/2020 21:01

Yanbu. Mine are only 32G but they sag and feel heavy. They just don't look nice in any tops.

I'm trying to lose weight in the hope they'll get smaller but nothing seems to be coming off the boobs.

Cheesypea · 11/08/2020 21:17

I'm the same bra size as you. I feel your pain. I have to wear a bra all of the time and have considered surgery, however I dont think cosmetic surgery is without risks and it wouldnt cure my body issues.

Florabritannica · 11/08/2020 21:21

I’m a 34H and I hate hate hate them. They make it impossible to wear nice clothes and I dread going on holiday both for the swimwear shopping and then for the actually having to wear it in a public place. I can diet down to a size 10 but still not be able to wear a normal person’s bra.

DianaT1969 · 11/08/2020 21:42

Before trying surgery, how much smaller might they get if you lose weight? If you could get to a dress size 10 for example? I think I would be a 32E at a size 10 and I could live with that. I feel your pain - particularly in hot weather.
It is great motivation for losing weight. I wish I had done it in my early 40s before menopause hit.

tohavetwo · 11/08/2020 21:48

Ynbu! I have two reductions (buggers keep growing back) but have no regrets.

Worth every penny (if it’s an option to save / finance) and my mum got one on the NHS so it is doable.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 11/08/2020 21:50

Same. E here. I am late 30s and only noticed recently how badly they have sagged. I was really sad. Not NHS worthy and can't afford to fix

It would be unusual to get a breast reduction on the nhs these days. Even post mastectomy patients struggle to get reconstruction surgery.

And the treatment of cancer patients has been stopped so breast surgery seems unlikely going forward
Feminist10101 · 11/08/2020 22:07

I’m a 36J like the OP. Just don’t even go there. They do little better than nothing. Even the £30+ bravissimo sleep tops create a monoboob about 6 inches below where I want them to be.

Want2beme · 11/08/2020 22:08

I know someone who had a breast reduction through the NHS. She was a 34J. She did have a long wait, but it made such a difference to her when it was done

Feminist10101 · 11/08/2020 22:09

I’ve lost 4 stone in the last 2 years. They’ve gone from a 38JJ to a 34-36J depending on bra manufacturer. Ie barely any reduction.

BrandNewShinyThings · 11/08/2020 22:12

@WilheldivaHater do you have a link please? I've been searching for something like that as a bra alternative.

Ginfordinner · 11/08/2020 22:22

A friend of mine had a reduction, and they grew back as well.

YourHandInMyHand · 11/08/2020 22:25

I would like to lose weight and will be doing so, but that won't reverse gravity. Even if I lost weight off of my boobs it won't reverse how much they sag or where my nips have ended up. Sad

I'd not even try to get this done on the NHS tbh. Personally I'd feel uncomfortable using up NHS funds for something like that. Yes my back hurts and it affects me emotionally but I don't think I'd try to go via NHS. And I know how hard it is for that to be approved.

Vests with support in them are absolutely pointless at the size/weight/shape of boob. Still low and heavy and squished together. I wore them overnight while I breastfed, I don't think they've helped my back or the sagging tbh.

I always have properly measured bras but even with them I'm uncomfortable they're just heavy.

If I lay down in bed without a bra on my chest sort of migrates and I feel almost like it's pushing against my windpipe. Blush

The risk of surgery does make me worry too though. My eldest has SEN and I feel guilty about risking surgery for something non essential.
