I signed up to Disney Plus for a month just to watch this, I really enjoyed it. I have watched it both with and without subtitles to make sure I got every word Grin

There are so many I'd love to see but when we took the kids to see Matilda and Oliver years ago it cost an absolute fortune.

Wish all shows were online (not necessarily D+), I've seen some on NT live and ALW's musicals during lockdown but there must be loads more!

It’s fantastic, but nowhere near the experience of seeing it live.

There are several shows on Broadway HD (Kinky Boots, King & I, Falsettos etc). We paid for a streaming of Curtains early on in Lockdown. We also saw the live stream of Last Five Years & are seeing Songs for a New World this weekend. Fame was awful, my daughter’s college production was better (ok it’s a specialist performing arts college but still).

Nothing beats live theatre though.

Oh, and if you have Disney Plus watch Newsies (stage version not the film). I’d love that to come to the UK.

I also signed up to D+ just for Hamilton. Have watched it 3 times now. :)

I'm a teacher, so off until September now. So I thought I'd keep D+ through July and August, and then cancel. After all, I already have Netflix and Amazon. I don't really NEED another streaming service!!

Another reason to get Disney+ is to watch The Mandalorian with the cute Baby Yoda. If you want a quick version of Hamilton though try Weird Al's Hamilton Polka. m.youtube.com/watch?v=oNEdEDbhTQw

I have Newsies and Mary Poppins Returns on my watchlist, DH and DCs have The Mandalorian on theirs.

The Hamilton song in my head is 'The Room Where it Happens'!

I very much enjoyed Jonathan Groff's character too, so I looked up why he'd left and it was to do a series called Mindhunter which I am now really enjoying. It's like a rabbit hole!!

We go on holiday (hopefully) in a month and then we're all back at school so am cramming in as much as possible in this month Grin

Newsies: The Broadway Musical is on Disney+ and a filmed version of (I believe) the West End company of Aladdin will be released either sometime later this year or early next year.

There is also RENT Live, although I don’t know of any streaming services that have it but you can probably find it somewhere online.

Sweeney Todd with Angela Lansbury is abvalible to rent on Amazon and Itunes, as is Into The Woods with Bernadette Peters.

And BroadwayHD (you can get a free trial for a week) has a bunch of including (but certainly not limited to) Falsettos, Billy Elliot, Kinky Boots, Gypsy with Bette Midler, She Loves Me and An American in Paris.

We got Disney + to see Hamilton (which is already seen in the theatre) and have now watched lots of the Marvel films and both Agent Carter series. Not sure we will keep it when the month is up but this first month has definitely been worth it.

Agree. Someone upthread was saying they couldn't understand getting D+ just to see Hamilton, but, having got D+ to see Hamilton, we can now also watch so much more 'for free' in effect. 2 of my dcs have been watching all the Marvel films again, and I've got a list of 5 films I want to see, before you even get in to all the Disney and Pixar films it is always worth watching again, however many times you've seen them even if they are supposed to be for dc
