We had a holiday booked for may (DM, DD and me), but it was cancelled of course... My DM now wants to rebook for next month as the prices are really good. The place we go is where my DD's family live so we don't get to see them unless we are there (not a huge issue as they don't make too much effort), but i'm really unsure if I should be taking DD who is 2. My DM is spamming me with holidays constantly, even though I've told her I'm unsure. One minute I'm fine and thinking everything will be fine, the next I'm worried about going in the current situation. But i do tend to worry about everything a bit too much. Maybe more restrictions will be relaxed by then, but they could also be stricter?
I'm just looking to see what other people are thinking really? Are holidays with a kid a no go until next year?

None of us have any health issues or weak immune systems. I've also seen people arriving at this destination on Facebook and posting videos and everything seems fine and enjoyable.. I just don't know what to do.

@Waxonwaxoff0 yesss this is it. Some people keep telling me not to let fear stop me from doing anything.

@implantsandaDyson I'm so glad you had a great time!

We are going to the Alps for a week to stay in me parents chalet, driving though as don't want to be travelling through an airport. Cannot, bloody, wait!

My opinion , it is selfish and irresponsible as the previous poster said, We are in a pandemic people.

Our holiday in May was cancelled. We usually go campoing in August but I'm struggling to find a site which is full open for tents, so I don't think we will be. I wouldn't be happy going on a plane currently, very close proximity to lots of others and trying to keep kids from fiddling with their masks for 3 hours.

We are going to Scotland for a week, driving up there and plan to do lots of hiking. I cannot wait. I expect we will see fewer people than we do at home due to not working and planning on being out in the countryside as much as possible.

If you have decided to go on holiday this year, then I have made a website which I believe might be of use.

www.covidtravelchecker.com is a regularly updated travel guide that helps to clear up some of the confusion around lockdown rules and promote safe holiday making!

Let me know if anyone finds it helpful!

We have a few days booked in the UK, also lost a May break. Wouldn't fly though mainly due to Covid but also faff with the young dc
