So NASA have created a new star sign, meaning many have changed. What do you think?

Previous Libra now a Virgo here. I've never really been one for reading horoscopes etc but I am quite gutted, I liked being a Libra

To ask if you agree with your new star sign?

Gah. People, it's talking about a different type of astrology which we don't use in our Western interpretation, and in which signs have always shifted. Not that it matters since it's all bollocks anyway, but nothing has actually changed unless you took an Eastern interpretation, and even then nothing has changed because the signs always moved around in that one anyway, so it only changed because it always has! This comes up every few years, I guess we are all especially bored now.

You're still an Aries or Pisces or whatever. Don't worry!

OchonAgusOchonO · 15/07/2020 11:40

What about those of us both on the first/last day of a sign? There is overlap - the last day of one sign is the first day of the next sign. Do I have to choose which one I want? Will I get counselling to help me choose? Is my inability to choose a sign that I am one sign over the other? Help!!!

squeekums · 15/07/2020 11:46

I went from being an on the cusp Aquarian and dd a Pisces to now us both as Aquarian

NotABigLaugher · 15/07/2020 11:50

Fuck this - I'm not going from being a Leo to being a Cancerian for anyone!

jollybobs89 · 15/07/2020 11:52

I'm confused so if my birthday is the 16th feb but then it says Capricorn till the 16th feb then Aquarius from the 16th feb ?

FourTeaFallOut · 15/07/2020 11:57

They've been playing the hokey cokey with Pluto the ...planet/ not a planet/ dwarf planet... so many times in my lifetime that I think it's for the best that we just ignore them for 50 years to see if this sticks.

verybritishproblems · 15/07/2020 11:59

Pluto will always be a planet to me #dwarfplanetslivesmatter Grin

AryaStarkWolf · 15/07/2020 11:59

What happens if you're born on Dec 17th?? Anyway no thanks Libra forever

GotGameByThePound · 15/07/2020 12:12

18 year old me decided to get a star sign symbol tattoo so 32 year old me refuses to acknowledge this shite.

Am I bollocks a Sagittarius

Delbelleber · 15/07/2020 12:25

Wth I'm now a capricorn!! I loved being an aquarius 😭

BarbedBloom · 15/07/2020 12:38

I am not a Gemini. I don't put much stock in it but cancer is very similar to my personality, Gemini is not at all.

Inmyownlittlecorner · 15/07/2020 12:44

I’m now Virgo & Libra instead of Scorpio, but my personality is definitely Scorpio!

allaglow · 15/07/2020 12:48

Not RTFT, but what if your birth date features in two signs?
I don't know whether to carry on being aloof or not.

Lalaok · 15/07/2020 12:50

SAME. I am not a Virgo!
I’m the definition of a libra.

Clawdy · 15/07/2020 12:54

Doesn't the "new" star sign sound a bit like " Oh, fuck us" !? Grin

Lifeisgenerallyfun · 15/07/2020 12:54

I’m more annoyed by the continued misappropriation of the staff of Hermes as signifying medics/healers. Hermes is a messenger. Read the fucking classics NASA. I think the zodiac signs, in their number relate to significant numbers in both ancient and modern times.

Anyway I thought zodiac signs were fixed signs of astrology Not astronomy and to my knowledge the two disciplines have been long split. I think there are around 88 “zodiac” signs, Of greater or lesser Importance based on astronomy.

Casschops · 15/07/2020 12:59

Still a Leo

ListeningQuietly · 15/07/2020 13:04

NASA are absolutely correct.
Due to the movement of the stars the dates that the sun is in each constellation has changed
and it most definitely crosses a 13th constellation

NASA and Astronomy are real

Star signs and Astrology are made up

Newnamenewopenme · 15/07/2020 13:10

I’m now two because the day one ends is the day the next one starts and that’s my birthday

FamBae · 15/07/2020 13:10

Oooo! I'm now an Ophiuchus Grin My DH is still a Leo and I'm not surprised.

FelicityPike · 15/07/2020 13:12

This article was published in 2016.

Maduixa · 15/07/2020 13:17

Babylonians divided the Zodiac into twelve signs for the major constellations, ignoring some minor ones. The interest in Ouroboros (not its real name) is that it's one of the twelve largest, and was dissed for somebody, probably Scorpio. This "new" system assigns days proportionally based on the size of the constellation, in addition to adding a 13th sign. But as PPs have said, nothing is changing; it's just a point of mild interest.

I'm on the cusp of Scorpio/Sagittarius. Under this system, I would be solid Libra. Sounds serene.

Verybritishproblems: Poor Scorpio has been relegated to 6 days. The Pluto of astrology.

If this catches on, I predict that Scorpio will be the new green eyed, quirky, "not like the other girls" manic pixie dream sign. "No, but I'm a REAL Scorpio, not a regressive old-fashioned Babylonian-style Scorpi-faux!"

Lifeisabeach09 · 15/07/2020 13:29

I can't even pronounce it!

rosiejaune · 15/07/2020 13:31

Obviously astrology is rubbish anyway. But I have always said it is wrong, and Ophiuchus should be included.

Loveinatimeofcovid · 15/07/2020 13:36

Why is Scorpio only six days now? Do they hate us (or rather former us, I guess I’ve suddenly changed from a total bitch to a really fair and patient person) that much? I feel victimised. This is Scorpio erasure!
