There's decency and modesty and not displaying yourself on national TV. It's a bit like flashers imo. Do you respect your local flasher? I mean, all he's doing is respecting his body and displaying his pretties?

But why is being not-naked 'decent'? Obviously I don't respect someone who exposes their genitals to unwilling audiences in order to get sexual satisfaction and/or upset people. But someone who goes on a TV show called NAKED Attraction, therefore guaranteeing that the people who watch it know exactly what they're in for...can't really see the issue.

Bodies are nothing to be ashamed of, but they are also not a way to rank people I agree with this - I don't necessarily think the premise of the show is good, just that there's nothing inherently bad or unprofessional about being naked.

Because nobody wants to see your bits to be honest, unless they're on a nudist beach or are porn stars. The programme is disgusting in my view, but there you have it. And I've seen my fair share of dicks in the past.

There's a time and a place. National TV is not the place.

Erm, I would argue that anyone who choses to watch naked attraction does want to see peoples bits. Else they wouldn't watch the show!

I suspect the majority of the audience are teenagers 'learning' mind. Much like me and my sister would watch eurotrash on silent late at night because there were often naked people Grin I find it odd that any adult would chose to watch it, but having said that, many found it odd that I liked big brother before it was axed..so different strokes I guess

yes YABU. Woman appears naked on tv. Who cares. We’ve all got genitals

I actually think it IS a bad influence as it promotes the idea that appearance is all that matters, but not because of the nakedness as such.

I've only seen clips, but it appears to show a wide variety of bodies and not just the ones normally portrayed in the media.

@alleycath there's a festival? With sex involved? When and where is this festival?

(Asking for a friend 😉👍😂)

No, but I've accidentally clicked on it before thinking it was a film or something only to be affronted by fucking dicks and fannies

I think the point is that the dicks and fannies are not fucking @GimmeAy , if they were then you may be more justified in your sense of moral outrage

Why is it that whenever something about a teacher or medic is mentioned that's remotely controversial, you get a few wags on here saying "it's a safeguarding issue".

Safeguarding...did you just learn that word in the last couple of years and are now throwing it around like "leveraging" and "pivot" or whatever other buzz words you hear?

this. is. NOT. a safeguarding issue.

It's like when someone talks about their perspective on privacy, and the first thing you hear from a poster is "This is a GDPR issue you have rights". Grin

It does matter because she’s a professional. And I mean that in the technical way, she belongs to a profession. Part of that is that you behave like a professional in all aspects of your life. Hence why when you get a witness to you signing a passport application they ask for a professional to do it.

I belong to a profession and going on naked attraction would absolutely be frowned upon. Even if my professional body couldn’t do anything about it, it would certainly hinder my career.

Let’s be honest, choosing to go on a show like Naked Attraction shows a lack of judgement that a professional body would worry might bring criticism upon the profession as a whole, and that might indicate the individual doesn’t have the qualities they require from their members.

However I wouldn’t report the person as I don’t feel it’s as big an error of judgement as other things like cheating or lying etc.

Student nurse = female. Read the thread. The nurse is male.
There are some right old fashioned attitudes on Mumsnet sometimes.

So you’re watching it but passing judgement on those on it? Not your body so why care so much?

This cannot be compared to the racist woman in central park. And it's not a safeguarding issue either. Jeez Hmm Most people who go on NA have jobs where they are expected to be professional. This person was not on duty. It may not have been the best decision to appear on the show but I doubt very much it will affect his ability to be a good nurse. You are perfectly entitled to ask the question on here but I sincerely hope you don't try to report him because this is absolutely none of your business

When the men get voted off (so to speak), and they do that spinny thing getting dressed, how come their willies don't swing out like a yardarm.
They seem to defy physics somehow.

If a doctor can go on Love Island and film a scene for the trailer insinuating he has sex with nurses on wards, then I really don’t see why someone wouldn’t be able to get naked on a dating show. There’s nothing inherently bad or unprofessional about being naked on TV.

I'm a very senior nurse holding line management for about 30 RNs. I'd not report to the NMC for this and I'd take a low view of the NMC if he faced consequences for it.

Naked Attraction is crass but it's just a dating show with a gimmick. It's not like he posted something vile on social media or got thrown out of a club, he just appeared on a perfectly legal TV show. Nurses are allowed personal lives.
