I'm 38
2 kids both were breast fed. I've never had a massive chest but they used to be a perky 34c pre kids
Now they resemble fried eggs
I've gone down a cup size to a B
No cleavage anymore
I've thought long and hard about this
I consider myself in good shape
I work out but not ott
I'm only petite anyway
I have paid my deposit and surgery planned for end of sept
Please share any stories or advice with me
I'd love to hear them
My surgeon says he would put max 300cc implants and may not even go that big as until I'm in surgery he just doesnt know so I trust him
I'm thinking 300cc would give me a large c or d cup?

Research Breast Implant Illness “BII” on google/ Facebook and join the groups of hundreds of thousands of women that are now having their implants removed / sueing their original surgeons as the implants have caused Debilitating systematic illness’s which are hard to even believe because the stories are so horrific.

Your body is beautiful and amazing, you have 2 children which your body has grown. Respect it and look after it. Don’t put a foreign object in it which it CONSTANTLY will aim to reject.
I believe and hope implants will soon be illegal. I was going to get them until I stumbled onto these groups 2 weeks before the elected surgery. I rang the surgeon the next day and cancelled the surgery.

Ishouldtryabiteachdaytime · 12/07/2020 21:26

I had them and had them removed after 11 years, as one was getting really tight. To be honest it was uncomfortable for about 4 years, but an explant costs as much as an implant op. I actually had a scan to check if it was encapsulated, but it showed as clear, it wasn't, it was adhered to my rib cage and had to cut out literally. And to be honest this was pre children over the muscle implants.

10 years is the max they last so you'll be further ops.

Are you planning yours under the muscle? As otherwise they are only supported by your skin ( which you are saying is already sagging, but it will be worse with an implant in. Think ball in a sock 😂 ) Totally up to you, but I would never get them again, best thing I ever did getting them removed. I was luckily I have been able to breastfeed since and so I know what you mean, but it's life.

Weallfloatdownhere · 12/07/2020 21:32

I had mine done in 2004. Haven’t had them re-done, they still look and feel exactly the same as they always have. I had cohesive gel (I think, from memory), which is jelly-baby consistency rather than the more liquid. silicone. Mine are under the muscle. Will need to get them re-done at some point, my surgeon said they tend to last around 20 years (again, from memory as 2004 was a long time ago!). Any more questions feel free to ask!

MrsPworkingmummy · 12/07/2020 21:34

I had mine done under the muscle in 2010. Had DD 1 in 2012 and breastfed her for 18 months. Im still BF my son who is 2 and a half. My breasts look amazing if I do say so myself, but they are very natural and are in proportion to my body. I went from an A cup to a c/small d with 160cc implants. Touch wood, I've had no issues other than nerve damage caused by the op. My left breast skin is completely numb. Thinking about how little confidence I had, I definitely made the right decision.

Bodgedboxdye · 12/07/2020 21:56

I had mine done in July 2014 and went for the naturelle ones.

I have days where I don’t like them. I feel like I should have gone bigger. Surgeon said I shouldn’t go any bigger than D/D as I’d get wrong attention.

I was a C before having my daughter, went to a D whilst breastfeeding. I breastfed her for a year and a half, my boobs went down to a B. I had my boob job a few months after I stopped breastfeeding.

As I’m only little 5’2 and weigh 7ish stone, people have said being too big would look out of proportion, but given the chance again, I’d go to what Katie price is now.

Hi guys
Sorry for late reply
Been busy as I'm a nurse
Anyway went for my 2nd consultation today and to try on some implants
I was very surprised to find the surgeon is happy for me to have between 325 and 425cc over the muscle
He took measurements etc and said although I'm petite
I'm 5'1 and weigh 58kg he said I have a straight back and broad shoulders so could carry off slightly bigger
Now my predicament is that is 425cc way too big??
The nurse thought that size looked great on me
They want to do round implants as I'm already heavy under my breats with nothing on top so tear drop would give a lot of sagging sooner or later

So now my predicament ladies is 425 too big!
I'm thinking 400cc?
The nurse said there isnt much difference in it and I will wish I'd gone bigger
She said different women end up with different cup sizes
She reckons mine would be a DD

I'm very similar size to you - 5'1" and 60kg. I have 365cc (I think) round over the muscle. I had them done before my daughter 5 years ago. They did drop slightly and go smaller (30G to 32DD) but still look great and no issues.

That makes them sound bigger than they look, I think implants measure bigger as they don't squish the same.

MUM2019MARVEL · 15/07/2020 21:29

Hi,..sorry to jump on your feed ladies but if you don't mind, could I ask a few quick questions regarding this subject. To any/all of you that are willing to reply..could you give me a round about figure of what you paid for the surgery please? I'm currently 7 months pp and seriously considering this surgery (basically already saving rapidly for it) but could do with some figures so I don't get messed around by different companies. Also do you think it would be a good idea to wait and see if I have any more children in a few years or just get it done when I can afford it?..I don't want to be feeling like this in 3 years time with a second child and have even worse breasts because I had them done and they got saggy after another pregnancy..lastly are there any things you would change? Eg size or even having it done in general..Sorry for the very cheeky hijack @Glittered

ifoundafoxcaughtbydogs · 15/07/2020 21:30

I should add I think they'd be room for extra cc to around 400 now I've had my daughter.

(Also breast fed fine when she was born.)

ifoundafoxcaughtbydogs · 15/07/2020 21:32

@MUM2019MARVEL £4500 5 years ago

Pinkyponker · 15/07/2020 21:36

I paid 5995 for 350cc under the muscle two years ago.

I love them!

Recovery was really painful, apparently under the muscle recovery is much worse than over and I had slight moments of regret during recovery when I was in so much pain!

Im 5 ft 10 but only around 9 stone and had very little natural breast tissue left after feeding two children and not having had much to start with.

They're perfect size for me really. Absolutely no regrets now, but obviously aware I may have problems in the future with needing them replacing etc. But I honestly feel that it would be worth it over the crippling depression I had over my lack of boobs!

Bodgedboxdye · 15/07/2020 21:47

@MUM2019MARVEL I paid £4500.

Recovery isn’t too bad. I had them done on the Thursday, was home later that day and was out shopping the next day.

If I could change it, I would have gone bigger. Admittedly, I didn’t do any research, didn’t really argue my cause (wanting to be bigger) and when I showed him a photo of what I wanted them to look like, (basically circles on chest) he told me the girl was wearing a bra, so not achievable. (she didn’t have one on) I kind of felt rushed and just went with what they said. So if I could go back, I’d do more research and expect to be listened to.

MUM2019MARVEL · 15/07/2020 22:07

Thank you very much everyone, I appreciate you taking the time to comment back, I'm assuming with those prices around about 6000+ now would be a good estimate to look for (for a good surgeon/company) and I will be sure to do my research before I go to the initial consultation and try to be clear about the type/size I want. Have any of you had children since the operation and of so how did it affect the (sorry for this) "droop"

JanewaysBun · 15/07/2020 22:12

I had mine before kids and they haven't changed at all (although still BF atm!)

Still very perky and full. 6k well spent! They sort of hold up the tissue I think so whilst every one in my Nct is complaining about edginess I'm popping on my fave bikinis

Would go a bit bigger than you think imo.

JanewaysBun · 15/07/2020 22:12

Mien are polyurethene btw

2155User · 15/07/2020 22:22

@Frenchtoastie

Would you feel the same about a foreign object such as a hip replacement etc?

Because if not, your argument is invalid.

Glittered · 15/07/2020 22:33

Hi so thanks for all the replies
I'm paying £5136
Thats because I'm getting a 10% discount as I'm not taking their finance offer
I've put 1000 down out of my own money
And I've just taken out a credit card with £4200 on it 0% interest for 24 months
Even the patient advisor said that's better than they would offer me

They offer 0% interest for 12 months I worked that out to be about 350 a month and it would be a push if I'm honest
Or they could offer me finance with interest rate I think of 9% for up to 60 months.

I'm getting mine done with transform in Birmingham
They have clinics all over the country and I'm really pleased with them so far.

My friend had hers done at mya 6 yrs ago and they've already sagged

She did some research for me and theres lots of unhappy women on trustpilot saying mya are going into administration and these women are not getting their money back

Although I havent looked into this myself

Hip implants are indicated for medical purposes, breast implants are not. Even so...widely used hip/ joint replacements that were deemed biocompatible and placed in thousands of patients have been recalled and proven to cause serious harm, read this lawsuit settlement:

www.jnj.com/media-center/press-releases/depuy-announces-us-settlement-agreement-to-compensate-asr-hip-system-patients-who-had-surgery-to-replace-their-asr-hip

This is just one of hundreds of medical devices/ implants that surgeons have placed in people’s bodies that have ended up being extremely harmful.

And if you still don’t see my point read this article:

www.breastcancer.org/treatment/surgery/reconstruction/types/implants/special-report/breast-implant-illness

@2155User

2155User · 15/07/2020 22:56

@Frenchtoastie

I do see your point, however, I don't agree with it.

You can't simply say "don't put a foreign object in it" but then actually decide you do want foreign objects if they benefit you.

You don't agree with them, fine, but don't almost shame someone that does

Glittered · 15/07/2020 23:44

Ahhh dont worry I've been a nurse long enough to just listen to people's opinions and then brush it aside when it doesnt mean much to me

I did cover every basis with the surgeon from capsular contraction to post op wound infection to what happens if something goes wrong in theatre and you lose my airway? How good is your team?
What's your plan B incase I die?

We discussd the issue of some people becoming ill from implants and he said it's not impossible but there is just not enough research on the subject
He said for example some women have said they developed fibromyalgia type symptoms since having implants
But who's to say this wasnt going to happen anyway and just by chance they happened to decide to get implants?

More risk if catching covid at the moment and seeing as I've worked in a&e throughout the whole pandemic and consistently test negative for it I'm going with the fact I'm super human and deserve breast implants
Jokes btw
But it has made me realise you only live once
If you want something go get it xx

Having watched lots of episodes of botched Grin. Shouldnt implants be under the muscle to stop sagging? And will they need replaced in 10 years? Just interested Smile

Glittered · 16/07/2020 07:49

The surgeon said to me that all implants can and will sag eventually as none of us are immune to gravity
He said it's important to wear a good bra and recommended getting properly fitted at m&s about 2 months after surgery and ensuring the shoulder straps are tight
I was never keen on under the muscle as I heard it's very painful
The surgeon said he prefers himself not to do under the muscle but during surgery he may find that I need partial under muscle.

They take a series of measurements during the consultation and he said I have the body (but not the legs) of a taller person which is why he would do up to 425cc on me whereas that would normally look too big on someone who is only 5'1
Not sure if thats a compliment or not lol

OP posts:
Glittered · 16/07/2020 07:51

Oh and he said theres nothing to say they need replacing after 10 yrs anymore he said its personal choice
Like his wife who is now 55 has decided to have hers taken out after 16 yrs just because shes a woman and what we want when we are younger is not always what we want when we are older lol

@glittered

I've got 390cc and my breasts are size 32GG now.

They are massive.

I struggle to find bras in the shops and they all look like hideous old lady bras.

My advice would be stick to a D/DD sort of size where you can still get pretty bras.
