I'm 38
2 kids both were breast fed. I've never had a massive chest but they used to be a perky 34c pre kids
Now they resemble fried eggs
I've gone down a cup size to a B
No cleavage anymore
I've thought long and hard about this
I consider myself in good shape
I work out but not ott
I'm only petite anyway
I have paid my deposit and surgery planned for end of sept
Please share any stories or advice with me
I'd love to hear them
My surgeon says he would put max 300cc implants and may not even go that big as until I'm in surgery he just doesnt know so I trust him
I'm thinking 300cc would give me a large c or d cup?

Can I ask what size were you before implants?
The surgeon said on a tall person 400cc would give them a C cup but a shorter person a D cup xx

I had mine done about 12 years ago. At almost 50 they still look great. I wear a bra all the time, even to bed. I chose the surgeon very carefully. He had a patient at the time who had had hers for 20 years. They are heavy and without support they will sag so a bra is a must. Without a bra they are still very perky 😂

Research the surgeon, go for quality not price.

To add I had 500cc and am a 34ff. They aren’t too big on me but on others they would be huge. Put rice in a bag in grams so 300 grams to see what 300cc would look like.

TheVamoosh · 16/07/2020 10:07

What's your plan B incase I die?

Excuse me??

Maybe that's a question for your partner?

passthemustard · 16/07/2020 10:21

I was 32 c/d depending on the bra/make etc. I'm 5'6 so reasonably tall.

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 16/07/2020 10:35

I'd be worried that the surgeon talked of a maximum 300cc initially and then ramped that up to between 325 and 425cc on the 2nd consultation.

I'd want to hear from others that had surgery performed by that specific doctor to see if his responsible approach in the first consultation is a way of sucking people in and whether he always becomes more cavalier in the 2nd consultation. I would also want to know about the experience of others with your height and weight.

The fact that his wife is having hers removed would also be a deterrent for me. It she was having smaller implants it wouldn't be so worrying.

I had mine done in 2012, when my youngest was 4. I am tiny, 5’1 and only just over 7st at the time. I also have a very narrow rib cage. I had 215cc, tear shaped, under muscle. They are still perky and natural looking, I just wear crop tops, I measure 28E which is not easy to find, and hate underwires because I have no flesh over my ribs!

To address a couple of points raised on this thread:
implants do not have a 10 year shelf life. If you have them done by a good plastic surgeon, and don’t go too big, they should last way longer.

Personally, I found an experienced consultant plastic surgeon and had the op done at the local bupa hospital. I would not use transform.

Doctors know nothing about actual bra sizes, or cup size in relation to back size. Implants measure bigger than natural breasts even if they look small like mine. It can be very hard to find bras to fit you.

Recovery is quite tough, you can’t drive for at least a week, or carry babies. I had trouble chopping veg, and I’m no pain wimp.

Those with young babies, please wait at least 2 years. I know it’s hard when you feel awful about your body, but honestly, that’s how long it takes for your body to settle permanently.

Sorry that became very long! Just trying to help as much as possible.

@MUM2019MARVEL I paid around £4000 in 2010 for under muscle implants with Transform at their hospital in Manchester. I had absolutely no pain post op, despite under the muscle implants (saying that, ai didn't think labour hurt that much so I don't know whether I've got a high threshold). My first DD was born two years later and I BF her for 18 months. My son was born 8 years after my implants. He's 2 and a half and I'm still BF. I love my boobs and feel really confident despite BF for over 4 of the 10 years I've had the implants in.

MUM2019MARVEL · 21/07/2020 21:31

Thank you all for the info and advice I appreciate it. Would the surgeon basically give me a good idea of what would fit my body best or would they be trying to 'sell' the most expensive packages. I need to know if I can trust them or am I best to go in with my mind made up and don't budge on the issue? @Achangeisadgoodasarest why would you say wait two years, would that be to settle after the birth and not put your body through too much? And thank you @MrsPworkingmummy I've heard stories about women not being able to breastfeed after having lifts/implants and that really worried me about any future children, I enjoy being able to breastfeed and don't want to mess it up for the sake of vanity.

Achangeisadgoodasarest · 07/09/2020 13:01

@MUM2019MARVEL so sorry I didn’t reply, I had forgotten about this post. For me, personally, it takes me 2 years to get back to normal, I suppose it’s different for everyone though. Also if you go under the muscle you’re not supposed to lift for a while, so would be tricky with babies and toddlers. If you go to a reputable surgeon, they will examine you and give their opinion on suitability and what will look natural, I suppose if you disagree with them you can insist on what you want. You pay your money and take your choice. I followed the surgeons lead and have been very pleased with the results, they are great and it’s been 8 years.

I hope you find the right surgeon. Good luck Smile

Hi @Glittered,

Did you go through with the op?

I’m seriously toying with the idea of getting mine done as I could really do with an uplift and the results of an uplift appear to look better with an implant. However I’m now having second thoughts after reading up about BII.

I know the benefits would be great in terms of improving my confidence but worry I’ll be one of the unlucky ones who get BII. It’s so hard to decide when there are stories yet no hard-proof that BII is actually a thing.

If you did go through with it, are you glad you did?
