House name ideas for an ugly home 😂

Hi all.

We have recently moved house, which is a number 3. The problem is we have lots of other houses around us with other number 3s and it all gets a little confusing (post going to wrong houses etc).

We were thinking of adding a house name to make things easier. The issue is, we do not live in a grand nor pretty house! It’s a basic pebble dash 2 bed end terrace.

It would look silly with a grand or too nice name 😂 Has anyone got any ideas?! x

Spartacus .........as in I am Spartacus, no I am Spartacus etc, as opposed to we're number 3, no we're number 3 etc

Journeys End or Willow 3 (or whatever “3” (tree) you have in the garden

I googled house signs and hit images, there are loads with the house number and street name, like this,

or with the number and street name written in the same typeface which IMO look attractive e.g.

For a more offbeat name, think of what three is associated with, so
Musketeers Cottage
Blind Mice House

or other associations of three,
Triple Towers
Trinity House
Triangle Terrace

I would give it the most pretentious name I could think of 😂

It's not that unusual. We are on a main road, which is Something Street, but next to the end of our terrace is the entrance to St Someone's Gardens. All the houses were built at the same time. Postie sees number 999, clocks the sign for St Someone's Gardens a few feet away and we get their post.

Balderdash! Please call it Balderdash (as suggested by a PP, not me).

Costa Plenty was the and given to a house in the street I lived on in the UK.

The name

On Gilmore Girls they wanted to name their house The Crap Shack.

My friend had a basic house and called it cheesecake manor

I saw a post I think it was also a MN post, saying how do I tell my parents not to name their house Belle End. Just had to share too funny!

A lovely traditional looking (from the outside anyway), house near my work, has a neat little sign saying "Bedlam" .

Our row of terraces overlooks the tip. Our neighbours house is called "Tip View". They have a plaque with cursive font and flowers. It makes me smile.

Am I the only one old enough to remember the Flintstones? Has to be Bedrock.

If you choose a house name it will not be part of your official address so will never come up on websites when searching for postcodes etc

It will if done through street naming and numbering within your local council.

Came to suggest descriptives.
If its lost mail etc i would strongly lean towards "3 willow house"
