DS1 and DS2 are both planning to start Uni in September, and I have just read this article which is very unsettling - does anyone have any idea of what uni's in the below article will be facing closure ?

My post 92 institution is rated above Cambridge for teaching training. Applicants should always look at subject level ratings rather than overall university rankings.

Not too worried about mine to be honest - seems to be that having their own accommodation is a big factor in how insecure many are with the Covid shutdowns and mine tends to rely very heavily on allocating students around a number of private providers rather than owning the halls of residence themselves. Also (in hindsight very thankful for this) one that set up the digital side of things in terms of the infrastructure for recording and streaming lectures etc, fairly early on - which has meant they've coped better than a lot sound like they've done for the move to online.

I don't think the Govt can afford the PR disaster of letting universities openly sink really.

@Fanthorpe

Really? Kingston?
Only campus gossip. But fairly credible campus gossip.

Like many, I think Kingston have spent a lot of cash on building works recently!
