Ebay seller refusing to send item

VelveteenBunni · 05/07/2020 18:02

Because ebay is holding the funds till 25th July.

Aibu to think that is not my problem?

I've replied to her message stating she needs to send me what I've paid for or cancel the sale.

I'm baffled.

PayPal really are almighty thundercunts aren’t they?

@LadyofTheManners

Ring eBay, they will intervene and put a strike on her seller rating I had a seller recently who cancelled the sale as she wasn't happy with how much her item went for. I reported her to eBay, she now cannot sell as she sent me a right arsey email Tough
How did you report them? Same thing happened to me. Seller cancelled sale and refunded me then messaged me to ask for more money!!! I tried to Report them but couldn’t find any way of doing...???!
AwkwardAsAllGetout · 06/07/2020 08:19

All the seller needs to do is add the tracking to the listing once it’s been sent and she’ll have the money released to her as soon as it’s delivered. As a buyer, I’m a glad there are extra checks for new sellers. I’m also a seller and have had the occasional excheque which are a pain as many people don’t seem to realise they’ve paid this way and thus don’t understand the delay between paying and posting. That’s not what’s happened here. The seller just needs to post your item, add tracking and the money will be hers in a few days.

LadyofTheManners · 06/07/2020 20:24

I rang eBay customer service
They are actually quite helpful, far better than the report seller function where you may as well not waste your breath
Turned out my seller had form for this bullshit so the agent I spoke to said that this was another strike and a ban from selling due to poor performance.

VelveteenBunni · 07/07/2020 16:55

Update. EBay seller replies and says they have spoken to PayPal and I can either have refund or get the item posted out. I reply stating politely that I want what I have paid for!

They immediately cancelled the sale.

Definitely thinking that they thought the auction would sell for more and saw that the money was being held and thought they could use that as an excuse. Cynical I know but it's very odd.

So now you can leave appropriate feedback. Keep it factual and don't insult the seller.
I wouldn't agree to the cancellation that way the seller loses out on the final value fees refund as it did sell and buyer doesn't want to cancel.

LadyofTheManners · 07/07/2020 18:28

I don't think you can leave feedback if they cancel now, it's happened to me three times over lockdown (I know I seem to attract wanker sellers) and I've not been able to leave feedback

VelveteenBunni · 07/07/2020 18:35

I have left negative feedback stating that I paid and seller would not send. She in turn has left feedback to me stating that I didn't pay!

This is a blatant lie, as I have every evidence that I infact did pay, and screenshots of the seller refusing to send for 20+days.

I have emailed ebay asking them to have it removed. This is such a joke.

You can follow up on feedback left for you. Also, that constitutes a false positive, which is again against eBay rules. Not looking good for the seller, not sending goods, cancelling a legitimate sale and a false, inaccurate, feedback. They won't be on there for long hopefully but again I would ring them because their email system sucks.

She sounds lovely

I’ve sold things on eBay that went for silly prices...an £120 indoor guinea pig cage went for £15. I was gutted. I really wanted about £40 for it.
However, i honoured the sale and the person collected it without an issue (it was a collection only item as it was huge!)
She was very appreciative but did say she was sorry it went for so little

EnterNight · 08/07/2020 13:13

@VelveteenBunni please tell me you don't sell and buy with the same account. If you do then please set up another selling account as this one sounds unhinged enough to buy from you maliciously.

Best practice to buy and sell with different accounts for exactly this reason.

VelveteenBunni · 08/07/2020 16:30

Don't worry. She has been added straight to my blocked buyers list as I do consider myself a rather proficient ebayer Grin

Op here. She relisted and I being a stubborn fuck, bidded on it on my DPs account. Won, paid, lo and behold sale is cancelled due to it being unavailable. Refund given.

I message her and ask innocently what happened to the item.

She replied her husband 'accidently' threw it in the bin as he supposedly didn't know it was for ebay.

So I respond again with a small white lie to the effect of so you won't sell it to my husband and now you're saying its suddenly unavailable now to which she goes, well its in the bin now anyway, sorry.

What planet is this woman from

This time she had put it in for 3 quid start and 15 BIN. I bidded and won for cheaper than last time. I bet its cause she wants more it's so blatant.
