AIBU?

To think that men who send pictures of their genitals are predatory?

Unless such pictures are mutually agreed and requested of course. I'm not referring to happily married / committed men where the wife or partner actively encourages it.

I'm talking about the type of men who jump at the chance to send these pictures without being asked, so long as they think there's a chance the recipient might be interested.

That penis fish is disgusting. Great idea to send it back.

I think it's the same as flashing too. Luckily I'm old enough that I've never needed to do online dating, and have never received one. If I had, it would have been the biggest red flag going for me.

I think they are the new age version of the old flasher
I remember as a kid you used to get these guys that would flash their dick at you
Now they just send you a picture

It's flashing. In a preferred form for those who get a kick from it because in person you might manage to shut your eyes, look away in time. But delivered straight to your phone it's seen with no warning. Fulfils they're little wank fantasy of making someone see.

I'm not a dog person but I can get very fond of particular individual dogs. I find dicks are like dogs to me. I only want to see a picture of one if I'm deeply attached.

Though of course the dick is deeply attached not to me but to the bloke concerned. Grin

Not just nnen Flip that to women who send pics of their tits or in proactive poses. Not everyone will want to see these

I saw something that said you should respond with ‘why are you sending me a picture of a child’s penis? That’s disgusting’. That should shut them down pretty fast.

Couldn't agree more. Its predatory and delusional. Definitely should be a criminal offense. I shudder when I think about DD growing up in a society where men think this is not just ok but attractive.
Love the penis fish idea but sadly think that the behaviour is indicative of a deeply disturbing culture of male entitlement and lack of awareness.

YANBU, it should be categorised as a specific form of sexual harassment in its own right.

"That looks like a penis, but much smaller" Grin

If it's not illegal it should be.

It's just flashing. And its gross.
There are a few things I've seen women do in response that I think are clever (though they shouldn't have to), like threatening to tell his mum, sending a picture of a bigger dick, or sending him a picture of a banana slicer.

I agree with the OP that unsolicited dick pics are awful, predatory and akin to flashing.

I disagree with the rather judgemental posters saying women never request them and/or get turned on by them. I'm in the early days of my foray into OLD and have so far not been sent any unsolicited ones but many solicited ones. I enjoy it, and I certainly dont think dicks are ugly 🤷‍♀️

3% YABU... must be one of the people who send them! Of course it's predatory and flashing. Luckily not something I've had in a long time thanks to being in a relationship for the last decade. I've received unsolicited photos before this though, and always felt awkward and not sure what they want me to do with it, showed my friends and giggled about it (yes any men reading, we show our friends and laugh at you!). I think now I'm older and grumpier I'd probably respond to tell them off. I liked the suggested response of asking why they've sent a photo of a child's penis!

I've always shown enthusiastic appreciation of the pork sword. It's given me a lot of pleasure over the years and three lovely kids.

Men love their cocks, they must think everyone else does too. Married men at work have sent me errection pics unsolicited, one I’ve literally spoken to briefly three times (about work not his cock).

I always post this story on these threads:

My mother’s friend’s son was accused (and convicted) of rape. My mother and her friend were adamant he was innocent because “he used a condom”, and insisted the judge made an example of him as he stole the victim’s phone. They would not hear the flaw in the logic and defended him repeatedly. Fine.

When he came out of prison he was invited along to drinks and I made polite conversation with him for a few minutes. Later that night, he had found me on Facebook and sent an unsolicited photo of his penis to me. I told my mother (who refused to tell her friend) - it was then extremely obvious to me that he was a sexual deviant and it made me convinced he was guilty of the rape.

A year later some family friends came out and said he had molested them as pre-teens.

I realise it’s not concrete evidence against someone but YANBU.

@Lightnbreezy

It’s completely outrageous. PPs are correct that it’s the modern day equivalent of flashing
