Will you be booking a (post-lockdown) UK holiday this year

Just wondering if anybody here is planning to go on a UK holiday / break now that lockdown restrictions are starting to be lifted (obviously I know this is all dependent on there not being another wave). If so where are you planning on going / what kind of thing are you planning to do? We would like to book maybe 3 nights somewhere with our three kids (12, 3 and 8 months) last week of August but I'm just not sure what to look for. Husband said about taking them to Longleat and staying in a hotel in Bath but I'm worried there wont be much else open for us to do (restaurants / parks, etc). Or do we try and find a caravan or lodge closer to nature trails etc...

Just wondered what everyone is planning to do? Much as I would love to go, for financial reasons Center Parcs is not an option this year!

Thanks in advance

We have a caravan ( touring ) and have booked two weeks on a site about two hours away from where we live.
I've worked everyday as a TA in a school since we 'closed' including through the holidays,I'm exhausted my husband has been furloughed and has been spending far too much tome alone...we need a break !!!
Deleon's it paid but the site owner will return it should they not be open. The site facilities are all closed so we would just be safe and sound in and around our van .

WE have a holiday cottage in the Lake District. It is listed with Airbnb and another more traditional agency. After all the bookings from March to June obviously being cancelled, I've just started getting bookings for July onwards coming through. I've noticed a couple of things:

  1. People are using the 'traditional' agency rather than Airbnb, but in fact, Airbnb have been fantastic throughout this crisis and cancelled all bookings with full refunds - this is now extended to the end of July.
  1. People are contacting me trying to barter down the price, which I think, considering the amount of money I have lost this year, and the fact that I will obviously pay the cleaner more for the extra cleaning and disinfecting, is a bit of a cheek!

We live in the Midlands. My parents own a static caravan in a tourist spot in North Wales that they kindly give us free access to. Its on a private site with no rentals, no facilities, so everyone knows each other. We try to go regularly, my kids absolutely love. It, especially because they have friends there.
Weve just heard today that they might finally be opening in July, we are so so excited. It doesn't matter to us if the arcades and attractions aren't open.
We take bikes and scooters go on long rides along the coastal paths, spend hours on the beach and in the sea of hot enough. Have chips and ice creams on the sea fronts. Visit the local zoo which will be open. Local farm is free to visit. Scenery is beautiful. Couldn't possibly ask for more at the moment and will really really feel like such a huge treat
