DH cut his own hair

I cut DS2's at the start of lockdown as it was way overdue... did a good job and it looked fine.
Did it again this week, in a rush ... mistook the 'no 3' for '3mm' and promptly shaved a no 2 stripe up the back of his head....
No coming back from that so now he's virtually bald
Luckily he doesn't care (he is 23 but has autism) but he looks dreadful....

Dh is taking off his grizzly Adams covid beard in stages. He currently looks like he should be in an 1860s wild west saloon. Thankfully he'll get bored in a few days. Then we'll have to endure Magnum PI for a week or so till he gets bored and finishes it off. You have my sympathy.

Home haircuts are not all that bad, however. I will forever love my DD's math teacher because he let his daughters shave his beard (5 & 7) - posted online - as a reward for work well done.

That's not a mullet. It actually looks ok, though!

My son (20) borrowed clippers from my ex-husband who has shaved his head for ages. I was alarmed when he came home & Petking was emblazoned on them. Bit of googling said that it was ok to cut human hair with dog clippers but not vice versa. I’d done my lockdown Youtube training & was hopeful that it wouldn’t by too bad, but he tried to do it by himself with the clippers the wrong way up. Nothing for it then but to take the whole lot off. That was about 3 weeks ago, & it’s now at the stage where it’s weird but lovely to run your hand over it.

He did good! I cut my own and look like friar tuck

People are kidding themselves that this is a mohawk. It's a mullet. Personally I'm a fan of a well done mullet.
