DH wants to invite colleagues & kids who live in London to camp in our rural garden.
We supply the tent, bedding, food for their visit. They use separate bathroom but will inevitably end up in downstairs of house.

YABU yes they should stay, share the local beaches, no danger, socially acceptable.
YANBU crazy idea, the kids havent seen their friends & family and you want us to host a work colleague

He wants to be a hero so is quite happy to sacrifice his family to get there
fuck that shitAngry

His ‘good place’ is entirely self serving, he’s lost in self-regard about how he wants people to see him.

That’s not goodness.

If you don’t want them, then your simple get out is ‘no overnight stays’ .. which btw you should really adhere too.

No overnight stays is one of the rules so its a NO

I agree that it’s a really stupid idea. Your kids haven’t seen their friends, you haven’t seen family, it’ll be a logistical nightmare, and it’s not allowed.

But also this:

at the moment the R number in London is substantially lower than most of the rest of the country. People from London are more likely to pick Covid up by travelling than bring it with them.

London is one of the least infected places at the moment. I don’t know why people keep saying London is a hotspot- probably they want it to be so that can feel smug I guess!

What will happen when it gets out at his work that colleagues have been camping in each others houses in lockdown against the rules? That wouldnt go down well at my work.
