To think this kid has been photoshopped

Onto the photo to give the appearance that the dog is not on a puppy farm?
Other photo on the add shows the dog with puppies in a barn style setting with a heat lamp.

What would you class as a puppy farm? Just interested because a friend bought a lab pup a few months ago and it was ill for several weeks after she brought it home.

She said they were KC registered breeders, but they had barns with heat lamps/several broods.

CuppaZa · 01/06/2020 17:06

The size of the child’s head looks weird in comparison to the man. I’d bet photoshopped. Although, regardless of that, the dog doesn’t look great and the man Shock. I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole.

spiffing · 01/06/2020 17:09

It doesn't look right to me... also I noticed the same seller is also advertising another litter of 'goldendors' due in June....

yearinyearout · 01/06/2020 17:13

@spiffing that dog in the pic looks like a lab x retriever to me.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/06/2020 17:14

Not defending them but photo 2 on the main advert shows the dog looking back (child not in photo) maybe the photographer called to the dog or got her attention with a trear?

And as for her looking rough - she'd had 7 puppies 4 weeks before (wonder how many litters she's had poor thing)

I despair at breeders of any animal who want a 5 Star retirement home for our female animal , now she's retired she can rest and be pampered

It doesn't occur to them to retire and pamper them after making £££ out of them.

mrsspooky · 01/06/2020 17:15

You are right the child is clearly bigger than the adult dog! Get a rescue, puppy farms are horrific.

MoltoAgitato · 01/06/2020 17:16

The AstroTurf under the child’s feet doesn’t squash properly, which makes me think it’s photoshopped.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 01/06/2020 17:27

Given the height ratio between the man and the child I'm guessing (and it is only a guess), that, based on that picture, the child would reach the adults breast line if she was stood up.

Mrsmadevans · 01/06/2020 17:31

The photo looks very dodgy , the poor dog has massive teats bless her . The man has filthy white stains on his joggers that look like they may be semen stains to me , absolutely filthy man .

Nymeriastark1 · 01/06/2020 17:40

@blametheparents Shock are they on crack? Who in the right mind would pay nearly £5000 for a dog! It's not even KC registered. Confused

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/06/2020 17:46

The man has filthy white stains on his joggers that look like they may be semen stains to me

Mrs he might've been painting the dog's Luxury Dog Kennel and wiping his hands on his joggers. Such care and attention being shown, he's wearing his Luxury Evening Shoes to paint in.

All 7 dogs are Reserved so they've made £14,000 on this litter if the sale goes through (less expenses obvs)

SoupDragon · 01/06/2020 17:53

The man has filthy white stains on his joggers that look like they may be semen stains to me

What sort of person has that as their first thought?

seasidestarfish · 01/06/2020 18:10

Semen stains? For real?
I agree it’s not the sort of attire you wear in an advert to sell dogs as it gives the wrong impression but semen?!
Perhaps he’s doing DIY or he’s a tradesman? Or maybe he just likes wearing scruffy clothes and shouldn’t have been included in the image!

OpenWheelRace · 01/06/2020 18:43

So the advert has been taken down now....

Also, when the hell did dogs get so expensive?!
We got ours from a rescue, but I'm sure last time I looked £1000 was high for a dog - a brief flick through tells me thats low end these days Confused

MusterMark · 01/06/2020 18:48

If they were going to the trouble of photoshopping it... wouldn't they have cleaned up his trousers at the same time?

Mrsmadevans · 01/06/2020 18:51

70 You know l am right though don't you Grin
As for knowing what semen stains look like Pah! Admit it you lot , once l put the thought there you cannot unsee it now can you? Grin

Thelnebriati · 01/06/2020 18:54

Her conformation and condition are both awful. I'd be ashamed to have a dog look that flabby, even if it was elderly or had a few litters. She has no muscle tone on her haunches, shoulders or barrel at all. I doubt she ever gets any exercise.
Also, she has a long wavy coat, she's probably a Retriever cross.

NotIncandescentWithRage · 01/06/2020 19:03

Tail doesn’t look right at all. Looks like it’s in 3 chunks.

Itsallgonewoowoo · 01/06/2020 19:09

I think it's photoshopped, but either way, that is one poor quality lab. Bet any 'tests' it's had are fake as well, or do they not mention hips scores etc?

Flynn999 · 01/06/2020 19:17

If you look at the placement of the child’s hand on the tail it looks like the tail doesn’t belong to the dog like the tail has been added onto the dog? And in comparison to the dog the toddler aged child looks gigantic compared to the dog. The child also looks really pail compared to the dog and the house, it’s like she’s in separate lighting, the dog and our jogger clad friend seem to be in darker lighting.

Also the joggers and dress shoes....

Bubblewings · 01/06/2020 19:17

I’ve just realised that the dodgy vertical line that is going down the brick wall is actually two “real” walls, its just that the one on the right is further in than the main one.
Even if not photoshopped, still doesn’t look good Sad

WiddlinDiddlin · 01/06/2020 19:22

I doubt someone breeding fox red labradors that look like golden retriever crosses with horrific conformation, being tormented by a small child whilst wearing disgusting joggers, and thinks thats a great advert..

Has any of the skills to photoshop anything.

It's just a horribly bad photo of a poor stressed dog who has been bred to bits, who is a puppy farm puppy machine.

Hopeisnotastrategy · 01/06/2020 19:25

Dog looks stressed and not a pure breed, bless her.

Child is luminous.

It doesn’t pass the sniff test. Also no moral reputable breeder is going to charge ridiculous prices and cash in on misguided people buying a dog at this time. They’ll be concerned dogs go to good longterm viable homes I’d hope. ☹️

Diverseduvet · 01/06/2020 19:29

The whole photo is very odd. Steer clear

MrMeSeeks · 01/06/2020 19:35

What’s going on with the dog’s behind?
