To think this kid has been photoshopped

Onto the photo to give the appearance that the dog is not on a puppy farm?
Other photo on the add shows the dog with puppies in a barn style setting with a heat lamp.

I think child (under 2?) looks too big compared to the dog.

DioneTheDiabolist · 01/06/2020 16:10

Photoshopped OP. They've used the bricks to match it up, but if you look at them, particularly to the right of the sill(?), you can see that it's two different pics.

TinySleepThief · 01/06/2020 16:10

The other pictures dont even really try and hide the fact it's a puppy farm. Sad

MollyAtTheFolly · 01/06/2020 16:11

If that toddler stood up, she'd be nearly as tall as Grubby Man!

Veterinari · 01/06/2020 16:12

Regardless of the child, that an awful looking lab bitch and she's very likely a puppy farm bitch Sad

Windyatthebeach · 01/06/2020 16:12

Have you tried to Google the claimed df of the puppies? If he is kc registered you should find him +owner. Contact the owner..

Moumia · 01/06/2020 16:13

Is that even really a full lab!? I have a Labrador and the shape of that dog is all wrong.

It looks a bit grotty tbh. Man in dirty clothes , toddler grabbing dog by it's tail and fake grass.
Avoid.

TheFaerieQueene · 01/06/2020 16:13

That poor dog doesn’t look like a well bred labrador at all. This is how they should look.

You can clearly see the remains of a pale shoe/floor at the end of the childs toes. The child is also in a completely different amount of light to the adult, not only that but the light on the child would cause a hefty visible shadow behind her. Thirdly she is far too big, if she stood up she would be huge!

BringPizza · 01/06/2020 16:14

It's an odd picture for sure, the child isn't looking at the dog, and the dog isn't looking at the child- my DC and dog would be transfixed upon each other in that situation.

CaroleBaskin · 01/06/2020 16:16

I don't think it's photoshopped. I think the brick change is more likely a bad extension. They may have a kid they've just plopped in the picture for effect.

£2k for a Labrador?! A weird shaped one at that!

I wouldn't say puppy farm, I'd say backyard breeder. Owns a farm and his dogs breed as an extra source of income.

SimonJT · 01/06/2020 16:16

If you go on the advert you can report it, I have done and pointed out all of the very obvious mistakes in the poor quality photoshop.

Dougalthesyrianhamster · 01/06/2020 16:17

I can ask my photo editing friend if it's been photoshopped if you like?

Wing1ngit · 01/06/2020 16:17

Poor dog Sad

chergar · 01/06/2020 16:18

Really suspicious, especially when you look at the seller's other advert, they are showing two different dogs as the father.

KenAdams · 01/06/2020 16:18

Puppy prices are absolutely insane atm. N9 breeder worth their salt is breeding atm and the only ones that are are the Pets4Homes ones.

I want a cavalier king charles spaniel and they're going for anything up to £6k atm. Usual price for a KC registered with tested parents is around £1.2k!!!

KenAdams · 01/06/2020 16:19

Isn't breeding atm*

serenada · 01/06/2020 16:19

@SimonJT. I’m trying to work out her shadow. The dogs front paw and the man’s shoes both of shadows but the child has sun on her front and back so there is something amiss with her shadow, I think?

However, the hair is very fine and to have photoshopped strands of hair like that would be hard.

Her calf looks too curved and there is an inverse curve on her arm that does not look natural, to me, also.

BabyBrainJane · 01/06/2020 16:20

I do photoshop and photography work. I don’t think it’s photoshopped at all.

I do think that’s irrelevant when you look at the other pictures and the fact is the wonkyest looking fox red lab of all time 😬

Flymetothetoon · 01/06/2020 16:20

Glad it's not just me - I just thought WTF when I saw it and wanted MN opinion.
Definitely not looking for a puppy (or any dog) just a bit of puppy googling 🐶

The brickwork behind her head is completely different, if you zoom in two different bricks meet with zero mortar between them. Happens multiple times on the wall.

No dog registered under Hansom polo, what a surprise.

Flymetothetoon · 01/06/2020 16:23

@BabyBrainJane really? Like a op said if that kid stood up she would be as tall as the bloke 😀

In my opinion you are looking at the wrong bit of the photo. Anyone who owns a dog knows exactly where a dog is going to look if anyone touches their tail. And it isn't straight ahead! My dog is four years old, is groomed daily, used to his tail being touched, and when I touch it he either starts looking at his tail ("is there something I should know about my tail?") or at the person touching it ("what do you think you are doing with my tail?"). No dog on earth just sits there and makes no response at all.
