Has Boris just had enough of being PM?

Seems to me that Boris has has enough of being PM and that is why he is now saying that he's not doing it without Dom.

Thoughts?

I've said for a year - since the leadership elections started - that he never really wanted to 'do' it in the first place. He just wanted to 'be' it.

Amused at the sight of many Guardian readers repeating, copying and pasting the same thing.

Could well be. He thought he'd take all the "glory" from effecting Brexit, leave everyone else to do the hard work of negotiating some sort of deal, make sure he and his mates made lots of money out of it, and walk away. He never thought he'd have to do any actual work.

Also he's getting increasingly uneasy about the number of Cummings' relatives and friends who have noses in various government troughs, and is trying to work out how to get out before all that shit hits the fan.

Boris can't do the job without Cummings, that's why DC has to stay.

Hancock for PM? Seriously. He decidedly average & has a very short fuse. He also has no principles.

Seeing people think Hancock would make a better PM makes me realise just how terribly low the bar has been set now. Much lower and people will be calling for Mugabe.

Yes Hancock isn't much different from an African dictator who caused many years of bloodshed, destroyed his country and starved its people. Now you mention it I can see how similar they are.

In addition he is a terrible public especially when attempting to answer the journalists' questions. He needs to take a few lessons from Nicola Sturgeon.

I'm assuming we're using the verb 'work' in a very elastic sense? It must be so hard having to do any of it, when you've been so adept at avoiding so much of it, of course. . .

He was well known for not 'doing the work', as in reading the papers, knowing the policy etc back when he was Mayor of London. None of this is any surprise to anyone who's ever sat in a meeting with him. And remember what a terrible Foreign Sec he was.

Lazy, short attention span, wants people to love him, doesn't like bad news, culturally cloth-eared - he's much cleverer and less 'comic-book baddie' than Trump but he does share some of his characteristics.

Lots of people have known about Boris’ sexual harassment of Dominics wife, but it gets lost if other crap they feed up.
