LiveintheNow · 25/05/2020 17:33

Don't believe everything you read... but it was all true, they did travel and stop off and travel again

Aridane · 25/05/2020 17:33

Is it wrong I now want to go to Durham ?

Ilikefresias · 25/05/2020 17:33

Utter gobshite

CricketCrocket · 25/05/2020 17:33

Can you hear people shouting?

DishingOutDone · 25/05/2020 17:33

@aridane you knocked that up quick! does it come in yellow?

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 25/05/2020 17:34

his message to conservative voters: don't believe what's in the papers. ie they are lying/wrong and I'm not. SO arrogant!

Thedogscollar · 25/05/2020 17:34

The arrogance of him hoping that we think his actions were reasonable.
Happy to let his niece be exposed to covid rather than staying at home like everyone else.
With dodgy eyesight he took his wife and son on a test drive thirty miles away to see if he couldShock

He might think his explanations and reasoning have got him off the hook well no way. This will have massive repercussions for this government and the country.

Shocking that he advises on the running of this country given his performance right now.

Tellmetruth4 · 25/05/2020 17:34

Why aren’t the technical people sorting out the microphones?

sleepyhead · 25/05/2020 17:35

He hasn't explained anything. He's admitted to things that previously he (and the government) vehemently denied.

Why should we believe a word that he says?

It honestly beggars belief that we're expected to be drawing a line under it now.

FurForksSake · 25/05/2020 17:35

How can the Police fine people if people are allowed to exercise their judgement?

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 25/05/2020 17:35

This is really, really bad. I had toddlers who could tell a better lie than this.

Aridane · 25/05/2020 17:35

We have terrorists murdering people on London Bridge and at the time we had people calling out for forgiveness.

The relatives of the murdered called for the forgiveness of the terrorists - that is their prerogative .

I judge Mr C and I condemn him - that is my prerogative

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 25/05/2020 17:35

The Barnard Castle thing he can't talk his way out of. Testing his eyesight indeed!

MuthaClucker · 25/05/2020 17:36

I am gobsmacked at the arrogance of the man.

WoollyMollyMonkey · 25/05/2020 17:36

Did you hear one of the journalists calling him ‘prime minister’? And he didn’t correct her!

TiddlestheCat · 25/05/2020 17:36

I was angry before. Now I'm just laughing! It's absolutely incredulous! Surely he's now just having a bit of fun with us. He cannot possibly be serious.

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 25/05/2020 17:36

He's just said you're allowed to exercise judgement with the rules. So they are not rules then.. only advisory?

sleepyhead · 25/05/2020 17:36

The dodgy eyesight excuse is particularly egregious. He honestly thinks we're fools.

Lemonylemony · 25/05/2020 17:37

Far too much time. This has been on an hour now. We don’t usually get that from the daily briefing of actual pertinent information on the national crisis we’re all STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF.

This has done nothing to decrease how angry I am at BJ and the government. Which is the actual issue here. The issue isn’t what Cummings did or didn’t do or why he did it or what his thinking was. We don’t care. What is important is what BJ knew, when, and how BJ has handled this situation. Which is terribly, as he’s now allowed his spad to become the story and have over an hour of live airtime on the BBC.

This is proper ridiculous.

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 25/05/2020 17:37

so he left his london house because the media are mean to him?
his sister offered his niece to do any childcare
he went to a second home,
he visited a castle
he spent easter with his parents!

and then he came back!

IHateCoronavirus · 25/05/2020 17:37

Bloody yes! I live with small children. The rules nessesitate I can exercise judgement.Smile happy days.

quizacabusi81 · 25/05/2020 17:38

madroid · 25/05/2020 17:38

"You have to exercise judgement, the rules don't give enough detail."

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 25/05/2020 17:38

he did tell Boris before he left! but he is taking the wrap for that,
