There are calls on social media to boo for Boris on tomorrow at 8pm.

AIBU to think this will be a bigger show of support for NHS and essential workers than the clapping?

Childish behaviour and a complete embarrassment. It will be completely ineffective and just make the booers look like total muppets and infantile bullies. This is not some kind of pantomime ffs. I’m no Boris fan either!

I think the deafening silence in large swathes of the country during that clap for him during his illness was a more appropriate demonstration of feeling than booing would be.

I dont think it will be effective. I joined the labour party yesterday it seemed the only thing I could do. I think if you dont do something, you are complicit in what is going on. So boo, or join one of the other.parties, or sign the petition , bu

Can’t stand him but no way would I take part in something like this. It almost plays into their hands by being easy to dismiss as childish (I didn’t like the Trump baby blimp really, for the same reason). As a PP said, the lack of support for ‘clap for Boris’ is a clear enough message.

As much as I think the man is a disgrace, I'm not sure I could bring myself to boo at him! However, I will be listening carefully to hear if my neighbours participate. The first Clap for Carers had a surprisingly high number of people clapping along - I wonder if this will be as popular?

I declined to join my local village Coronavirus group when i saw the top post was someone expressing their 'disappointment' that not enough of her neighbours could take the time to clap on Thursday evenings.

I think it would be much more effective to write to conservative MPs.

The best things you can do if you don't support Johnson or Cummings is write to your MP about it (especially if they are Tory) and vote for other parties at the next election (even though there's a bit of a wait for this)

Well, I certainly won’t be taking part. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a Boris supporter, but as far as I’m concerned anyone who takes part in this is petty and needs to grow the hell up. Boris made the decision to stand by DC and I get that some people don’t agree with that, but acting out like a petulant child will make no difference.

Even more cringey than the clapping but I am half hoping it takes off here, where working class people gave the Torys a huge majority.
