Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with consent orders?

Basically, i am unrepresented due to not being able to afford to see someone, and his solicitor has imformed the judge might not approve it?

So what happens if the judge doesnt approve? Can the judge change the order or what is the next step? Very confused... thank you

My understanding that those upthread who've said there's a charge for cetv are incorrect. If you're getting divorced, then you are allowed one cetv free. So, you need to say that when you ask for it. After the first one, as cheerful says, then there's a charge.
Some are easy to get. For my divorce my plan value/cetv is easily available on front page of my online account. Dh has an nhs pension, and it's super complicated. He applied back in January and we're still waiting for the info. When I saw the solicitor for the first free half hour she advised getting the ball rolling on his cetv as the first thing we did.

Yes the judge can refuse the consent order if they feel it is not fair on either party. My ex and I had a very amicable divorce, worked out what we wanted between us - he paid for mortgage for 5 years but I didn't have any of his pension. But the judge refused to grant the order until I could explain why I wasn't having half his pension. I was lucky enough to have a solicitor who put my reasons into legal-speak and the order was granted on second submission.
