For me, it's dark chocolate, and extra strong mints. So weird!

Bread

I always sneeze after the first slice of bread that I eat in the day.

Probably not; those fruits contain protease which starts digesting your mouth when you eat them. So does papaya.

No foods make me sneeze. Too much mustard gets up my nose but it doesn't make me sneeze.

Not even pepper!

Purple skittles

Sorry, just checked back on this! Glad I'm not just a weirdo. I wonder what is in dark chocolate to cause such a reaction. Anyone know?

Crumpets. But just the first few bites.

victorioussponges · 16/05/2020 17:43

Snap - OP! Just dark chocolate here. Interesting to hear so many people mention mint - never had that effect on me!

SilentBob · 16/05/2020 17:44

Not me, but dark chocolate, sun and cherries make my daughter sneeze. I think it's photic sneezing but I do not know the science behind it.

Grandadwasthatyou · 16/05/2020 17:46

White wine. Apparently it's the sulfites in it.

Not me, but once I had brother and sister cats who loved little chips of extra strong mints - they use to fish anything minty out of my handbag if they could. Even though they loved the little tiny minty pieces, they always made them sneeze.
