I did my shopping at the farm shop this morning and bought a few bits and pieces which I'd ordered and paid for online and arranged a time to go and collect them, includng a children's baking pack which I thought would be a bit of fun for them. It all comes pre-packed in carrier bags or boxes which they leave by your car When I unpacked it there were some balloons in the bag, they weren't in a separate little bag but loose so heaven only knows where they have been or who has held them.

AIBU to think they are being foolish to give away balloons at this time? The DCs didn't see them and they've gone in the bin with the plastic bags. I know they meant well but really?

YABU - it isn't the best of ideas no
YANBU - it's just a bit of fun. Get a grip or have a Biscuit

Well they are 'in the environment' already so you may as well use them.

I find it hard to believe people really think like this. I advise getting a really good grip.

Funny how people are only concerned about getting ill from a balloon since coronavirus. Would you have worried before that whoever had touched them had flu, norovirus or another bug? Would you have started a thread about it?

Please don't bin carrier bags - you can easily recycle them at supermarkets, along with a few other things like cereal inners, sliced bread bags and the packaging that comes with nappies.
