So, our neighbours sent their daughter around to come into our house and play with our daughter so they could go to a street party in our development with five other families. I sent her home.

Was IBU?

My OH is in a job where full PPE is required and I have a mum who is almost 80 who I look after.

Looking out at the street party, they flocked together and even had a massive Dominos delivery which they shared.

Madness.

Oo well done to you

GabsAlot · 09/05/2020 20:47

nice of them to send a kid round to a stranger so they can ge tpissed

NeutrinoWrangler · 09/05/2020 20:58

Trying to foist their child off on an unsuspecting neighbour in the time of Covid19, no less is bad enough. Leaving the poor child sitting on the pavement while they get drunk is despicable. Crappy parents. No wonder OP doesn't want to spend time socialising with "their sort". I wouldn't either, tbh.

yellowbrickwhorl · 09/05/2020 21:18

How many families are there in your development altogether? Are you friends with other neighbours?

Baluchistan95 · 09/05/2020 21:30

Same on my road op. This included 2 x NHS nurses and 1 X NHS Occupational Therapist. Everyone mingling, social distancing non existent. If I'm to be absolutely honest, I was so tempted to join them as they seemed to be having such a good time. I just knew it was wrong and would have regretted my actions the next day.

YANBU

Devlesko · 09/05/2020 22:04

Never mind, they'll be dead soon.

Classic Grin

arickitupyourpompom · 09/05/2020 22:08

Be honest ... you are pissed of that you weren't invited

JemimaPuddleCat · 09/05/2020 22:31

Someone actually reported my joke? Bloody hell, first Boris takes our freedom, the neighbours at number 12 take Marmunia's pizza, then someone removes all sense of humour.

🖕

Twentynone21 · 09/05/2020 22:32

There was no social distancing at the VE celebrations in our street. Drunk people and kids running about. A neighbour who is a paramedic got a neighbour who is a hairdresser to cut his hair out in the street because the 2 metre rule is just a theory! Confused

CherieBabySpliffUp · 09/05/2020 22:35

Posting for the deletion message Grin

CrazyTimesAreOccurring · 10/05/2020 00:02

@JemimaPuddleCat dont worry it's been copied and pasted but MN haven't removed those posts weirdly HmmGrin

Marmunia1975 · 10/05/2020 08:34

Sorry to disappoint - not pissed off that I wasn't invited to a four family Jeremy Kyle get-together in a 50 house development! Bunch of morons in the few semis in a middle class development made up of older couples and professionals with well mannered kids.

yellowbrickwhorl · 10/05/2020 12:49

Please don't use the M word.

blacksax · 10/05/2020 12:50

Four families? Lost count, have we?

Minesacider · 10/05/2020 18:08

Please don't use the M word.

Middle class?

Idontwantthis · 10/05/2020 18:13

Disappointed not to see a witty deletion message yet

Sparklingbrook · 10/05/2020 18:22

Oh no, not living in semis. How awful. Grin

crabsandoranges · 10/05/2020 21:44

@Minesacider Er, no - not Middle class. I believe it may be the OP using the word 'moron' that has been viewed as unpleasant.
