Yes I will be, don’t care if they have information on me- I'm quite boring so doubt it’ll be very useful and I think the benefits outweighs the negatives.

danni0509 · 07/05/2020 11:37

Yes I will be. Even if they are able to track when I last changed my knickers, I don't give a fuck what info they have on me.

Anything to help us all out of this situation!

TeenPlusTwenties · 07/05/2020 11:38

If my old phone will support it.
I have never 'done' apps, this could be the push I need.
Will I need to pay for data though for it to work?

Northernsoullover · 07/05/2020 11:38

Yes I will. The Government owns me anyway. It owns all of us! National insurance, tax or benefits its all on the system. What further information will it have that it doesn't already? Location maybe but thats it.

danni0509 · 07/05/2020 11:38

So YANBU

ps my knickers are changed every day for the record 😂

BirdieFriendReturns · 07/05/2020 11:38

Nope.

PotholeParadise · 07/05/2020 11:40

I may download one. I won't be downloading Hancock's one.

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 07/05/2020 11:41

I will, they will soon get bored if they watch me. I wasn't sure how to vote though, sorry

SerendipityJane · 07/05/2020 11:41

Your poll is flawed (do you work for YouGov ?).

refusing to download the UK government app still leaves room to download the Google or Apple app.

So I can't respond, as I would download the Google or Apple one. But I would rather have red hot pins shoved up my nails before I downloaded anything that has been near this government.

Flippinfurloughed · 07/05/2020 11:42

As a middle aged boring woman, yes I will download happily. I do nothing of interest that’s worth hiding!

Dialdownthedrama · 07/05/2020 11:42

No.

Pippa12 · 07/05/2020 11:43

I’ll download it! I really don’t understand why you wouldn’t. How the bloody hell would you expect to track and trace without them knowing where you’ve been???

Springersrock · 07/05/2020 11:47

Yes, I have downloaded it

You don’t put any personal information in other than the 1st 4 digits of your post code

onlinelinda · 07/05/2020 11:48

No because I've had it already. I see they didn't address that in the publicity.

PotholeParadise · 07/05/2020 11:50

Not all apps are equal. I am willing to sign up to track and trace for the purposes of disease control. I am not happy to hand over access to everything I do on the internet to any organisation that has Dominic Cummings in an advisory position.

TheHighestSardine · 07/05/2020 11:50

I'm not downloading the expected NHSX one, because it completely won't work so it's not fit for purpose.

If they deliver one based on the Google/Amazon bluetooth initiative, which will work and won't store all my details in a single database controlled by the shitbags who ran the Brexit campaign, I'll definitely install it.

LilacTree1 · 07/05/2020 11:50

"How the bloody hell would you expect to track and trace without them knowing where you’ve been??"

when you test positive, you give them details of who you have mixed with. Fleetingly walking by strangers wouldn't count anyway.

if you have been in close contact with someone, they would be quarantined too.

LilacTree1 · 07/05/2020 11:51

How do people think track and trace worked for infectious disease in the days before mobile phones?!

TheHighestSardine · 07/05/2020 11:52

"Palantir" and "Peter Thiel" are your reference terms for the bad one. Wouldn't trust him or his technology to be able to find his own elbow.

Iwalkinmyclothing · 07/05/2020 11:52

No.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 07/05/2020 11:52

No. I've behaved responsibly and done everything within the remit of an individual's power to comply with the guidance given since the end of March. I'll wear a mask in public if need be, will continue with the handwashing (the #1 way of preventing the spread) and observe other reasonable guidance.

I will not be downloading any surveillance apps, writing passive aggressive anonymous notes or spying on my neighbours and reporting them.

Samcro · 07/05/2020 11:54

i won't. my phone won't download apps.

SerendipityJane · 07/05/2020 11:55

if you have been in close contact with someone, they would be quarantined too.

No they won't. They'll get a nice message suggesting they go get tested.

Now, think carefully if you were to get such a message. Where would you go ?

Springersrock · 07/05/2020 11:56

It does not track where you have been. I don’t have location services turned on on my phone

You do not enter personal details other than the first 4 digits of your postcode
