To ask for your hill you will die on? LIGHTHEARTED

As per the meme ‘I will die on this hill’ what are your lighthearted hills you’re willing to die on?

Mine:

Phoebe Buffay is the worst friends character. She is not kooky, she’s mean, selfish and always looking for ways to put the other friends down. Everyone is too busy hating Ross to realise Phoebe is a cock. I will die on this hill.

Would my clothes still be dry?

Not after stamping on baby turtles, no.

@Lweji I like spoilers. I find I enjoy stuff more if I know where it’s going. I always read the end of a book long before you’re supposed to. I find it ridiculous that people get angry about spoilers.

People who don’t watch a live event and then expect to everyone to tiptoe around not revealing the outcome until they get round to it are extremely annoying.

PG Tips are the ONLY teabags that make decent a decent cup of tea, all others are either horribly disappointing or actually horrible

isabellerossignol · 01/05/2020 16:19

I don't think I can tell the difference in taste between tea bag brands. Except possibly for Tesco value. That was an experimental purchase I wouldn't be rushing to repeat.

But...Tetley tea is always a horrible colour. Even if you let it brew forever it still looks grey.

FliesandPies · 01/05/2020 16:34

Wow..Tesco value..I would rather dehydrate Shock

isabellerossignol · 01/05/2020 16:43

I tasted it so that you don't have to. Dehydration is definitely preferable.

@DorisDances

What’s the pasta combo?!

DorisDances · 01/05/2020 17:17

@Plump82 Yes, just twists with the garlicky juices poured over!

StealthPolarBear · 01/05/2020 17:17

Everyone claims to like weird cakes like carrot and orange to seem virtuous.
If you ever take a selection of cakes into an office, chocolate is the first one gone by a mile.
--> chocolate cake is the best.

MitziK · 01/05/2020 17:18

The best bath towels are lovely, rough, scratchy ones that buff off the dead skin you've loosened in the bath, dry you properly and give you the wonderful feeling of scratching an itch Right There.

Chicken are funny, fluffy, clucky little murderous dinosaurs who would behave like a pack of velociraptors and eat the entire human race if they were only as big as their ancestors.

StealthPolarBear · 01/05/2020 17:26

Yes, completely agree about towels. Same goes for bathmats, crispy is best.
Soft towels feel slightly damp.

ReadilyAvailable · 01/05/2020 17:30

@StealthPolarBear I used to work with a really horrible woman. One day I heard her giving some cake-based analogy to other people. She announced that her favourite cake was coffee and walnut. And I thought: it would be, wouldn’t it? 😆

maria860 · 01/05/2020 17:33

Ross was the funniest and most underrated friends character

crispysausagerolls · 01/05/2020 17:57

@maria860

So true

FliesandPies · 01/05/2020 18:01

I salute you, it must have been a terrifying experience. Even Tesco 'finest' stuff is usually awful so I really can't boggle how bad their Value is.

What I really should have said of course is that I would rather drink water Envy

FliesandPies · 01/05/2020 18:02

@StealthPolarBear carrot cake always goes first on cake days, as you very well know!

HesSpartacus · 01/05/2020 18:13

The Boy, The Horse, The Fox and the Mole is an unparallelled pile of soppy shite and anyone posting pictures from it on social media drops a little in my estimation.

That's my hill. It would be a lonely one but I get to share it with DH, so that's not so bad.

StealthPolarBear · 01/05/2020 18:16

FliesandPies do I?
I've just realised the factor in common of all these cake days where the chocolate cake goes first is me...

FliesandPies · 01/05/2020 18:25

I've just realised the factor in common of all these cake days where the chocolate cake goes first is me.. Grin

Don't you find you eat a lot of disappointing chocolate cake though? Not many things more disappointing that disappointing chocolate cake, and i've eaten a ton few! (apart from disappointing tea, which I believe I have covered)

StealthPolarBear · 01/05/2020 18:28

Yes. My mum used to make an amazing chocolate cake and none since have measured up, including hers Confused

StealthPolarBear · 01/05/2020 18:29

Do we know each other?

user1498572889 · 01/05/2020 18:32

Disney. I am prepared to be slain on the hill 😂

FliesandPies · 01/05/2020 18:33

Wow, that's a tough one - where can you go for non-disappointing cake when even your own mum's doesn't hit the spot??

I prescribe a course of carrot cake Wink

MrsAvocet · 01/05/2020 18:34

I love cake, and I love chocolate. But chocolate cake? Nah, you can keep it.

WingingItSince1973 · 01/05/2020 18:38

Ok ready to be flayed alive! The Beatles are so overrated 😬😬😬😬😬😬
