The baby names where people give a criteria and someone answers with totally unsuitable names eg, I like classic long girls' names, I can't use Elizabeth because X and Charlotte doesn't work with out same name and someone will pop up and Kaleesha or Zoot.

Or My husband is muslim so we want a name that reflects his beliefs / culture and some one witll reply with Wendy or Theresa.

Or our surname is Peacock, what would go well with that? and the answer is, 'how about Andrew, NN Drew'

There is nothing wrong with the names per se but they go against the poster's criteria.

It makes me laugh that people have to ask complete strangers what they should name their child, and that many people don't really understand what a nickname is.

I like the fun threads - like the kidnapped/rescuers from last thing you watched that's running now.

The "I don't know anyone who does/doesn't do xyz".

Not when it's in reply to someone who stated that something doesn't exist, but when it's in either bewilderment/ denial that the entire world doesn't live in the only way the poster knows.

We'll op I've found that minding my own business and accepting that other people do things differently from me has made me a lovely tolerant person and not a judgmental asshat. You should try it sometime.

Just thinking about the Pom Bear thread makes me smile. I only have to think about the DH going “Pom Bear anyone?” and my day immediately brightens up
