Bacon sandwich dilemma (lighthearted - sort of)

DH made me a bacon roll this morning - lovely dry cured bacon, ketchup, tiger bread roll and brought them up to bed for me, but upon finding me in the shower left breakfast on the toilet (!!?!) for me. Apparently this is hygienic as the lid is down. AIBU to not eat it ?

I would eat it if it's not soggy from shower steam. I assume your husband's bum was in contact with the seat rather than the closed lid and that he washed his hands before making your breakfast? But I'm strictly a brown sauce person, the ketchup is grounds for divorce.

I wouldn't eat it.

Rationally I know that it is fine but I still wouldn't be able to bring myself to eat it.

Surely your toilet lid should be just as clean as your sink etc, unless you wee on it.

Do you put the lid down before or after you've washed your hands though?

In answer to some of the critical questions, yes it was crispy back bacon, definitely ketchup (not sorry) and yes I agree it’s ok to rest a wine glass on a toilet - alcohol and necessity obvs. I have eaten the very well crafted bacon roll whilst trying to educate DH on food hygiene (and the fact that there is a perfectly suitable surface in the bedroom, mere steps away) but he is too busy celebrating winning the poll to listen.

@RomaineCalm here’s the really controversial AIBU - I love a bacon roll made with a hot cross bun. Am thinking you may find that worse than eating one left on a loo

It is a bit of a odd place to put it as you are unlikly to eat it as soon as you step out of the shower , I would take it to the bed room and get back in bed to eat it --and ask where is the coffee-

Northerner here can some one please explain why a teacake is so called ?

A 'barm' cake is named after the foam that rises to the top of beer while it is been brewed , the yeast sold in 'cakes' ( compact cubes , not the sweet type we now know ) was then sold to bakers in this is what they used to make the barm cake.
