40 phone masts now destroyed, many not even 5G

I'm finding this unbelievable!

Apparently some of the masts serviced hospitals. If these knobheads continue I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see network outtages.

Whilst idiots have access to the internet we will continue to see ridiculous theories

And the great irony is that the sharing of said ridiculous theories will be facilitated by transmitters installed on said masts. Many masts support a variety of transmitters for various services such as different types of mobile phone services, data connections, broadcasting and yes, emergency services communications. And with them being networks and all that, there are point to point transmitters that send data between the masts.

You can't stop certain people believing X, Y or Z about 'the authorities' but if they take their crazy theories to the lengths of vandalising the national infrastructure they need to be banned from benefiting from any product or service that uses the masts. So no mobile phones, no Internet, streaming services, emergency services, broadcast media, nothing. Let them stay in their tinfoil lined homes where they are a danger to only themselves.

The same people that think that vaccinating children is a grand plot. The same ones whose children and young adults who were in school and university ore lockdown suffering and spreading mumps/measles etc and risking pregnant women. The same ones who when a vaccine for Covid is released will be campaigning and refusing it citing the risks..

One thing I am doing during this is writing to my MP asking that childhood vaccines be made compulsory and that no one is allowed to attend education establishments without up to date vaccination records.

If this doesn't teach us anything, nothing will and laundering to fuckwits like this risks others

RibenaMonsoon · 19/04/2020 07:04

I work closely with one of the UKs biggest networks.
When lockdown was put into place and stores were closed. They had 3 retail employees er store come in (maintaining social distancing at all times) to answer webchat queries for help and advice as well as sales. The amount of people using webchat more than doubled, as you would expect.
They've had to stop that due to the mast engineers getting physically assaulted and don't want retail to be next. Keeping employee safety in mind at all times.
All these louts are doing is making life more difficult for everyone else. Emergency services up and down the country use the network. It's absolutely disgusting.

So next time you are on webchat with your mobile provider and its taking an age, you can blame those idiots.

DappledThings · 19/04/2020 07:14

The country is on lockdown and people arent travelling far afield, yet these attacks have happened all over the country

I don't understand what you think this proves. People live all over the country. Attacks happening far from each other doesn't mean anyone has travelled, just that there are idiots nationwide.

PatchworkElmer · 19/04/2020 07:23

An acquaintance of mine believes this wholeheartedly- his theory is that it’s all 5G and it kills more older people “because they haven’t been exposed to technology like the younger people, so they aren’t immune to it” 🤔

NurseButtercup · 19/04/2020 07:24

I didn't know the extent of the 5g caused covid-19 conspiracy until I was sent links to YouTube videos. Middle aged men talking absolute drivel, I'm shocked that people are listening to them!

blubberball · 19/04/2020 07:31

Your microwave is more dangerous and gives off more than a 5g mast.

AJPTaylor · 19/04/2020 07:34

On our local Facebook group there was the usual countering about network rail cutting back vegetation. This turned into a rant about how it's all5g and that's why all the trees are dying in China. Huh?
What do these people do in peacetime?

LittleLittleLittle · 19/04/2020 07:44

@blubberball you are better of telling such people not to use their microwave, TV, radio, telephone, mobile phone and anything that uses any form of internet connection in their house. Then they are safe from "waves" and more importantly can't spread this nonsense

countrygirl99 · 19/04/2020 07:55

As to people not travelling - one house next to us is a weekend home, they also have a place in London. They are here for the duration but so far the car has been gone overnight at least once every week so they are certainly travelling somewhere.

BarbaraofSeville · 19/04/2020 07:58

Your microwave is more dangerous and gives off more than a 5g mast

But almost none of it escapes from the metal box that the generator is contained within.

TV transmitters emit similar frequency radiowaves and almost no-one worries about those.

Almost none of the people convinced that 'the masts' are killing us all are at all concerned about their exposure from their own mobile phone, which they are rarely separated from, or being in close proximity to dozens of other people, all using their mobile phones.

The complete lack of consistency and rationality to their thought process therefore means that I simply cannot take these sorts of people seriously.

BarbaraofSeville · 19/04/2020 08:03

TV transmitters are also much, much more powerful. Typical main TV transmitter power thousands of kilowatts.

Typical mobile phone base station power, a few tens of watts.

Billben · 19/04/2020 08:03

Can we not just shoot these people? I can't imagine they are of any value to society.

👍

TedsFederationRep · 19/04/2020 08:16

I truly believe that the lockdown is beginning to have an effect on people's MH. Even some of the most sensible people are starting to show early signs of depression (I'm on a village volunteer group so chat to people from a safe distance when delivering food or prescription medicines) so for those already predisposed, this might be tipping them over the edge. Deprived of everyday social contact - including different opinions and perspectives - they are dependent on their inner resilience. And some of them didn't have much to begin with.

HonestCentrist · 19/04/2020 08:17

It scares me how many stupid people there are in this country.

DrierThanANunsNasty · 19/04/2020 08:26

I have someone on my Facebook who is the ULTIMATE in tin hat wearers. I keep them on there solely for entertainment purposes and to see what drivel they’re pumping out this time round. Usually it’s anti-vac stuff (quite a few recently as to why any Covid-19 vaccination will be used to mind control the masses) but the 5G stuff is the most laughable.

Whenever someone comments about how wrong they are, they come back with dozens of links to absolute BS sources to back up their claims - then call others sheeple for using peer reviewed medical or science journals as evidence. They also have a little group of cronies who come on their statuses to back up any of their BS claims and shoot others down.

The mind absolutely boggles!

LastTrainEast · 19/04/2020 08:40

These freaks can be amusing when they are just ranting on youtube etc, but if any other group were intent on disrupting communications we'd round them up and/or shoot them.

The gene pool would be better for it.

Fluffybutter · 19/04/2020 08:43

My dh works for a large telecommunications company and the stuff he tells me makes me feel ill, engineers spat at and having their vans damaged and ransacked ...
These people are dangerous and it’s not helped by brain dead celebrities like Amanda Holden !
Definitely bar these idiots from being able to use the infrastructure. If they have a fault or their internet cut off then we just leave em’

Iotswold · 19/04/2020 08:47

Goodness, the irony that anyone posting their legitimate or reasonable concerns about 5g is probably connected to the internet either by WiFi or 4g.

If you are worried about the masts outside your home giving you nasty illnesses, you should probably pop your phone in the bin and unplug your router for starters.

PaperFlowers4 · 19/04/2020 09:11

I keep my phone on aeroplane mode when it it’s in my pocket and unplug my router at night. I also eat organic food so I can avoid glyphosate and sleep on a wool mattress so I can avoid VOCs off-gassing. I’m proactive about health which is my prerogative. And yes, that will also include being concerned about a 5G antenna right outside my bedroom window.

This is a joke right ?

PaperFlowers4 · 19/04/2020 09:26

Not at all. Why would it be a joke?

idontsmokeivape · 19/04/2020 09:31

Can we not just shoot these people? I can't imagine they are of any value to society.

My thoughts exactly.

LittleLittleLittle · 19/04/2020 09:34

@PaperFlowers4 you are posting on an internet forum and to get your post on here at some point you are being over exposed to waves, which you consider dangerous.

LittleLittleLittle · 19/04/2020 09:36

@HonestCentrist I'm laughing and crying at the same time in agreement.
