Just that really.

Why does everyone think they're so bloody good!

Any other 'popular' films you can't stand?!

I think the pp means the maharajahs feast, which is a bit racist.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 11/04/2020 21:42

I love Indiana Jones but only the first 2 movies.
I can't stand Chitty Chitty Shitty Shitty bang bang and wizard of oz isn't much better

lotusbell · 11/04/2020 21:44

James Bond films

I hate the snake one. I am petrified of snakes even in films or pictures. In that film her shoe falls into the snakes and one crawls through the open toe....that bit makes me want to cry in sheer terror.

I haven't ever seen an Indiana Jones film !

Or Star Wars (no interest)
Cannot be doing with James Bond films except the one with the shark pool and only for the sharks .

My DH is currently binge watching The Almighty Johnsons ... he is trying to convince me there is a storyline but I'm darned if I can see one . Just a load of wandering about and random shagging Hmm

I stand corrected, I had forgotten about that bit

The best films ever..yabvu. I will even add

" they don't make films like this anymore."

BadLad · 11/04/2020 23:54

to be fair on Kate Capshaw, she met Speilberg after she was cast (says Wikipedia) and staggeringly they are still together, which is amazing for Hollywood.

Indeed. They became close during the filming, and got married years after the film was released.

OP, You're not alone! (I'm not alone!) I'm a real movie buff and watch films in all sorts of genres. But I really dislike the Indiana Jones films. I think it's the casual sadism played for 'comedy' aspect that I find nasty.

Ontheboardwalk · 12/04/2020 00:08

Indy absolutely lovely. The full on, none stop, screaming from the women 'supports' can fuck right off

Stars2theside · 12/04/2020 12:56

@TheSandman

YES! I am so glad, I am the same, I like all sorts of genres, so I know it's not because I have bad taste!!
