Just watched that youtube clip... omg im actually speechless at the total ineptitude of scrotus. The bit at 3mins was particularly bad he spoke to the reporter like shit! Of course there would of been scared americans at that point just like there will be now. How does him asking that question make him a bad reporter or the question nasty?

B1rdbra1n · 09/05/2020 23:53

Trump doesn't like the fact that the question (or more specifically the answer to the question) puts him in a bad light, that makes him angry/triggers him, which further strangles his already compromised cognitive functions. He loses the ability to make a distinction between the messenger and the message ....so he shoots the messenger
He is functioning at the level of a primitive tribal warlord, he might be able to cut it in a primitive tribe (if he was also ripped and buff😆) but it's completely inappropriate for a modern sophisticated technologically advanced culture.
then again this is a man who openly admits that he would shag his daughter if he could get away with it so so he doesn't let inappropriateness get in his way

BruceAndNosh · 10/05/2020 08:10

It's why he invented "Fake News" to dismiss anything that contactdicts him. I'm surprised we haven't seen more of the new "Media Trap" which was the excuse phrase he came out with after claiming that they would be doing 5 million tests a day very soon (and his head of testing said that was impossible)

This is why I can't understand why people continue to support him. Even if he was a great President (hint, he's not) why would you want a leader who makes things up then denies he ever said them

B1rdbra1n · 10/05/2020 09:22

And of course fake news is a nice segway into fake election results (he'll think of a catchier term ofc)

A refusal to leave office, I wonder how that will play out 😳 will it coincide with the second peak of the coronavirus 😳

'Obama lashes out at Trump'
trump will have had to be restrained into a straitjacket, surely?
he will be convulsing and frothing at the mouth, surely?

So are there no more daily updates in USA after Trump threw his toys out of the pram cos of Bleachgate?
I guess it means Americans have to look a little harder to find the daily death toll

TheNorthWestPawsage · 11/05/2020 09:16

Hmm those pesky aides.

In conversations this weekend, President Trump has expressed concern that aides contracting coronavirus would undercut his message that the outbreak is waning and states should begin reopening, according to a person who spoke to him.@kevinliptakcnn

trump thought the his musings on bleach and disinfectant would earn him a Nobel prize, or at least make the clever people respect him as they saw the genius that he had been hiding
instead they pointed and laughed at the village idiot
so he has to punish them to try and repair his wounded pride

Chomsky speaks out
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/11/donald-trump-is-culpable-in-deaths-of-americans-says-noam-chomsky
In an interview with the Guardian, the radical intellectual argued the US president was stabbing average Americans in the back while pretending to be the country’s saviour during the worst health crisis in at least a century.
He said Trump, who will seek re-election later this year, had cut government funding for healthcare and research into infectious disease for the benefit of wealthy corporations.

Chomsky said: “That’s something that Trump has been doing every year of his term, cutting it back more. So [his plan is] let’s continue to cut it back, let’s continue to make sure that the population is as vulnerable as we can make it, that it can suffer as much as possible, but will of course increase profits for his primary constituents in wealth and corporate power.”

Chomsky also said the president had abandoned his duties by forcing individual state governors to take responsibility for combating the virus: “It’s a great strategy for killing a lot of people and improving his electoral politics.”
Asked to clarify if he viewed Trump as culpable in the deaths of Americans, he said: “Yes but it’s much worse than that, because the same is true internationally. To try and cover up his criminal attacks against the American people, which have been going on all of this time, he’s flailing about to try and find scapegoats.”

The professor said Trump’s decision to freeze payments to the World Health Organization, would lead to deaths in Yemen and across the African continent.

Chomsky was speaking in an interview to mark the launch of the Progressive International, a global initiative to unite, organise and mobilise progressive forces around the world.

So much chatter about WH aides/generals/valets/VPs all having or not having positive or not positive tests or isolating or not isolating at the moment that it's difficult to get any idea what's going on in Trump's WH world. What is clear though, is that he and the WH are now scared.

He's been tweeting like mad again this morning and there's a Rose Garden presser at 4pm (EST) today I believe. Wonder if he'll now be wrapped in cling film and stood behind a Perspex screen whilst pretending it's what his security insists on and nothing to do with him...?

Biden finally beginning to stir? - summary from The Guardian:
Former vice president Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee for president, penned an op-ed in The Washington Post this morning titled: “How the White House coronavirus response presents us with a false choice.” The editorial gives us a preview of how Biden intends to make testing – and the White House’s access to it – a major issue on the campaign trail.

In the op-ed, Biden accuses Trump of attempting to “split the country into dueling camps, casting Democrats as doomsayers hoping to keep America grounded and Republicans as freedom fighters trying to liberate the economy.”

“The Trump administration could focus on producing and distributing adequate testing and protocols that conform with the guidance of public health experts; doing so would speed up the reopening process considerably and make it a whole lot more effective. ...

“The administration is fully aware that this is the right path, too — after all, the president and his staff are now reportedly receiving daily tests. They knew exactly how to make the Oval Office safe and operational, and they put in the work to do it. They just haven’t put in that same work for the rest of us. If Trump and his team understand how critical testing is to their safety — and they seem to, given their own behavior — why are they insisting that it’s unnecessary for the American people?”

The editorial from Biden comes as the Trump re-election campaign is expected to unload a new series of attacks on their opponent after holding back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
