while I look like Dennis Healey. Did they all do a threading course before the lockdown? This is not just female presenters, it seems to be everyone interviewed. (Note - Lighthearted. Thought people might appreciate a change from the constant moaning about rule breaking Mumsnet seems to be full of)

I still pluck my own mostly, although as I have got older they are not as full anyway, and with the full brow look more in these days, I tend to mostly leave them. But yes, if you cannot get to a threader, then surely you can just keep on top of your own, it's not difficult is it? Or a lot of women have them microbladed these days anyway.

I don't get the obsession with brows, they are so easy to do yourself. A couple of people I know often talk about getting their brows done, but they have really strange, 90s, sperm brows? I guess they like that look so that's all that matters though. But generally I am very much a DIYer when it comes to beauty stuff anyway, I can't believe women spend so much money on that stuff!

Mine are very dark and need no dye or pencil, and I pluck my own.

I do my own as well. I never let anyone touch my eyebrows. Luckily they have a naturally good shape so it’s easy to use tweezers myself. And luckily they don’t need tinting but I’d probably do it myself if it needed it. In fact I do all of my treatments myself apart from hair trimming and I do look well put together and groomed all the time even without makeup.
My mother has always plucked her own eyebrows but she’d have some regular treatments at the beauty salon or hairdresser which I don’t.
It takes a lot less time doing it myself.
And I’d rather be in charge of my own routine than rely others. It is certainly paying off right now.

I do hope the Nike eyebrow trend will disappear, I know I am in the minority but it really doesn’t suit 99% of the women who have adopted it.

Surely the make up artist on the TV show does it for them?

They mentioned on the One Show no hair or make artists at the bbc so doing their own. It’s not that hard - even for HD - to paint a decent face or sort your brows.

I do wonder what we will all look like when we emerge from lockdown - especially people who get a lot of things ‘done’ by other people. I have regular highlights and my roots will be terrible! I also have my hair cut regularly but to shoulder length with some shaping so it won’t be too noticeable that it hasn’t been done for ages provided we get out of lockdown in the next six months.

Will people run to the salon as soon as they can or will they decide they can live without it, having done without it for weeks or months?

(NB I also expect to be enormously fat, given the amount of boredom-baking I’m doing)

What the Nike eyebrow trend? I like the general shape of eyebrows that are around at the moment, I just think sometimes they are a bit thick and dark.
