Outside my flat, not the same household and not 2 metres apart. Is it unreasonable of me reporting them.

OP posts:

This so fucking pisses me off. My teenager is pining for his gf and his friends. He's lonely and has seen no one for weeks. But he's not an idiot and he'll stick to the rules as long as it takes.

Report them op, right now.

LagunaBubbles · 10/04/2020 18:50

Its jealousy and bitterness that they do not feel the same pressure to comply as you do. That is what triggers all these reports

Like hell it is. People are dying and numbers are increasing helped by selfish idiots not complying. It's not hard to see why people aren't complying when I read views like some on here about reporting. I'm risking my life every single day for others, I've watched people die without their loved ones. And you think people like me are jealous and bitter? I wouldnt hesitate to report anyone breaching the guidelines.

ssd · 10/04/2020 18:50

Sorry for swearing

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 10/04/2020 18:59

Really don't think it's about jealousy or bitterness. As someone who still has to go to work, the only thing I'm jealous of is people who can stay safely at home! It's the number of people each of the six could possibl y go on to infect that worries me. My teens have been doing a great job of staying in without moaning at all, because they understand the bigger picture and the responsibility we all have to the people working on the front line.
However hard it might be for those teens, I bet it is far far harder for the doctors and nurses dealing with the end result of their defiance. What is the point of clapping every week for these people then turning a blind eye to situations which will make their lives worse?

WakeAndBake · 10/04/2020 19:01

At grey last government press meeting Matt Hancock said that there was currently spare capacity in intensive care and plenty of ventilators for those that need them.

The plan is still for most people to get the virus, just at a slow enough rate to not overwhelm the nhs. The plan seems to be working. A few teenagers drinking cider on the grass is not actually the worst thing in the world. We can’t all stay locked up forever. Especially teenagers.

YouTheCat · 10/04/2020 19:05

You don't seem to understand that if we don't follow the guidelines then the lockdown will become stricter and go on for longer. No we can't all stay locked up forever. But would you rather still be doing this in June/July?

IAmReportingYouForBBQing · 10/04/2020 19:16

Would I rather be doing this? god no. The lock down should have been complete and total like in other countries and done a week earlier at minimum. I do not want it to go on any longer but you are a fool iof you think that the police will investiagte or break up every one of these so called breaches. I think they did 600 last week end? across the whole country? I cant help but wonder how many times they have to attend rowdy parties and bbqs in good weather when everything is normal. I bet its more. So what impact will it really have? all this reporting. I reckon very little. Total lockdown leaves much less room for error and people know the rules. Even on here, people are just making up rules left right and centre. Absolute bonkers rules that they have pulled out of their rears. You tell em all that doesnt contribute to people thinking they can bend the rules? and that people whipping others into a frenzy on here over BBQs and butchers and teens arent actually increasing peoples tension, making them even more indignant and anxious.

Sargass0 · 10/04/2020 19:43

What sort of cider is it?

Macncheeseballs · 10/04/2020 19:55

Even if they are all part of a 'blended family' , go and drink woodpecker inside

YouTheCat · 10/04/2020 19:57

Sadly, IAmReportingYouForBBQing, you're completely right. It does need to be stricter and clearer.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/04/2020 20:05

At grey last government press meeting Matt Hancock said that there was currently spare capacity in intensive care and plenty of ventilators for those that need them

You do understand that only 50% of the people who are ventilated actually survive, right? That access to s ventilator doesn't guarantee survival. That there is only so much that medics can do and you might still die and that drs and nurses might die whilst treating you? Just because there is currently capacity it doesn't mean it's a good idea to catch it because right now there's a ventilator spare

LagunaBubbles · 10/04/2020 21:08

Apart from the fact it's completely against the guidelines, will make lockdown last longer and risk the health of everyone they live with! I actually despair, why am I risking my life going to work with stupid fucking idiotic views like this around!

Frozenfan2019 · 10/04/2020 21:52

Anne Frank wouldnt have lasted a week in the UK these days.

I don't even know where to start with this, you've actually compared these 6 selfish teenagers hanging out together with Anne Frank's situation.

Why do so many people fail to get this. If just one of those six is carrying it then they could have passed it to the others who will now all take it home and pass it to their relatives. Perhaps one of those people has relatives who are still working, in which case they then take the virus to their work place and perhaps on public transport. It's not wrong to want to prevent this.

Yes it is possible that one or more than one of the teenagers has a shit home life but it's not by any means certain. All teenagers hang around with their friends,

ssd · 10/04/2020 21:57

All teenagers hang around with their friends

You mean all teenagers want to hang around with their friends but right now the ones who aren't arse holes aren't doing it.

Frozenfan2019 · 11/04/2020 00:33

sad. Yes I do mean that. They are not definitely from deprived homes is what I am saying.

BootShakin · 11/04/2020 00:39

TomHardysCBBC what a leap. Maybe they are just dumb little assholes. Report them.
