The media and everyone seems to be focused on the terrible and understandably worst case stories about corona so I thought why not start a positive thread so we can all feel a little more upbeat as I dont know about you but I've felt nothing but anxious, scared and vulnerable being in a high risk group.

So what positives have you all found? What are you grateful for? Anyone been through having corona and have now recovered?

I'll start. I'm incredibly grateful for my health and my families health right now and am enjoying spending more time with my partner and the kids than normal.

I’m enjoying spending time with the kids, not constantly having to rush around getting them ready for preschool / childminders / dance class / meet friends. We just get up, have breakfast, potter around & play. It’s so relaxed & they’re so happy.

I’m enjoying doing some long-overdue weeding in the garden.

I’m enjoying DP working from home so he hasn’t got an hours commute either way.

I’m enjoying how quiet it is without so many cars on the road. Our house is on a main road, I went out in the garden last night at about 9pm & it was silent. I just stood in the dark garden, enjoying the peace & no number 2 bus rattling past every 20 mins Smile

My children have a biggish age gap - 5 years. They have never really played much together, more co-existed in the same house and asked for friends over all the time.
This last three weeks, they’ve really discovered each other and developed a proper relationship which is built on enjoying each other’s company, not fighting!

@Frogsandsheep

I'm very grateful that people like you are doing the job you do, because your care and compassion are making a truly hellish situation just that bit more bearable for those that have lost loved ones. I'm very sorry though, that this must be so incredibly hard and devastating for you to deal with, day in, day out.
