The tale of the original Mark Fowler in EastEnders, who quit because of mental health issues, was hounded by the Sun and called a 'Nutter' on the front page and eventually killed himself, is instructive.

Alley Einstein was accused of paying a woman to lie that she had injected her daughter with Botox. She paid and coached the woman allegedly giving her a pre written script.
The woman lost custody of her daughter, then after an examination by a doctor found that the child had not ever been injected with Botox, the child was returned.
