Hi. She has huntingtons disease and been showing mild/onset symptoms, I'm not sure how to word it. Anyway she does a few hours a week playing activities in a care home.

Anyway she has been told today via text message that she is high risk and not leave the house for 12 weeks.

I'm a "keyworker" too in the fresh food industry. Where does that leave me? I'm I not allowed to go to work now? We also have 2 boys, both are at home age 7 and 5. 7 YO is autistic too

I can only speak from the experience of a family member, but they are having to shield and their DP is still working so they have moved out for the 12 weeks. Read the guidance and call your GP surgery for advice on what’s best for you guys! Good luck and I’m sorry you’re both having to deal with this on top of everything else!

@QuaverQueen thanks so much for all that you and your colleagues do. I think you are all going above and beyond your role and me and my family are really, really grateful of people like you. Take care

@MyDcAreMarvel is that link a ligitimate gov guideline? Not had chance to catch up yet its been very busy working full timeband trying to keep my carers responsibility, plus my own mental health, my mind is all over the place. I must add that I'm very sorry to hear of your recent family bereavement. I want to send my best wishes to you

@Yellowskies1988 yes the gov. Link is legitimate guidance for employees. Thank you for your kind words.

Got follow letter today it seems it is just me who is designated high risk! I have asthma and get chest infections a lot. I had cancer back in 2006. I am 76. Dh is 83 he has prostate cancer, type 2 diabetes, colitis and has had a heart attack. Apparently he isn’t clawed as high risk nut is vulnerable. We have hibernated.

Gosh! Predictive text strikes again.
Clawed=classed
Nut=but
