Those with primary age children I think it's will be hard to remember back to having babies and we haven't had the teen years yet to compare.

But.....

I reckon the most difficult age to keep entertained would be the toddlers 1.5-3 ish?!

Anyone else?

I have a 1.5 year old and a 3 year old, who are shielded. It has been actual hell. If I didn’t have a garden I don’t know what I’d have done!

For me 8/9ish. That was the age where their behaviour was most affected by screen time. I would have really struggled to distract them and I could see everyday being a running battle.
Younger I would have been okay I think as I can play, craft, bake, do outdoorsy stuff. Teens,(mine are now) can understand, can connect with friends virtually, can do the shopping and are good company.

Oldish thread but I have 3 and 4 year old boy and a 7 year old DD and I would say hands down the 3 year old was hardest During lockdown and still. He was 2 years and 8 months during lockdown.

When the boys play nicely it’s great but attention span is seriously lacking 🤣 and soon they fight and get into scraps. They are loud and scream a lot as well. I would say the 3 year old. My 4 year old is getting better at listening and doing as he is told. My 3 year old does sometimes, but At the moment he is mostly being very defiant and pushing boundaries more. I have booked our first soft play this weekend but it’s limited time. We have a garden life saver lol

They can entertain themselves but need constant supervision and I play games with them, hide and seek etc and we sing songs and my daughter joins in and we all have movie evening etc but again my 3 year old attention span is the hardest at the moment.
