Just had an Amazon delivery

It's not mine, it's for our elderly neighbours who are self isolating. They haven't ordered anything recently but we agreed to take any previous parcels they're waiting for. Amazon driver looked utterly miserable (don't blame him). He rang the bell and literally passed me the box. Wasn't too impressed as technically virus can spread this way. Just didn't have the heart to argue with him as he must be feeling totally shit right now. AIBU in thinking that if these delivery drivers aren't afforded proper PPE, and are treated pretty poorly by their managers, they might just stop caring altogether? Don't know why, just felt awfully sorry for him at the same time as annoyed that he didn't stick to social distancing rules...

We had a heavy item delivered this morning, they told us in advance the driver could only leave it outside the front door, which was absolutely fine. Once they put it there, I was at the door, they took a photo of the item as a proof of delivery.

Just had my regular delivery of dry dog food; he left the bag by the door and rang the bell. When I got to the door he was just getting back in his van.

I'd ordered my son an inexpensive laptop a few weeks back, delivery delayed (non Corona related) so it arrived Thurs.

We were all in the house (remote cottage), with the front door propped open and a sign which said: please knock LOUDLY and wait - I am disabled'.
I was sitting 5 foot away from the front door at the kitchen table reading a book, and heard nothing

Son (who has ASD) spotted the van going back down the lane and chased after it. In doing so, his phone fell out of his pocket and smashed (despite protector on it) so he's devastated - very unlucky!

I called the number on the 'sorry we missed you' card (which had 'couldnt leave in your safe place (greenhouse) as signature required' handwritten onto it. National number and person who picked up was really sympathetic when i explained circs - I'm disabled, package was laptop for kid (also disabled) to do homework on. Gave me the local number (depot 150miles from me). that went to answerphone and told me to send an email. I did. No reply.

Yesterday a guy drives up, sits with engine running outside house and leans on horn. I go out and he says (around his cigarette) 'YOU were OUT' - you are lucky I'm back and you are getting this expensive laptop after all' and glares at me. So, I say, 'actually I WAS in, but anyway, where do i sign?' and he swears at me and drives off.

I emailed the delivery co to complain but guess what - the email is returned 'undeliverable' (which someone has put in the title box and sent back, rather than actually undeliverable),

The delivery Co was APS
