I have 3dc so between “home schooling” and general mum stuff I’v downloaded Sims 4 for the laptop and oh my god, I wish I hadn’t. I’m addicted 😂🙈 Iv spent many hours making a family, designing a house etc. My Sim had twins and it was so bloody hard looking after them I ended up making a new sim 😂🙈

So what are you doing?

Dh is learning the guitar through youtube.

I’m enjoying following fitness workouts on line, I’m not very good at them but I try and have a structure to my day & do them between 9 & 10. I do a brisk hour long walk outside as well. But I am fortunate in that my DS is 19 so I don’t have to entertain children all day Grin. No work as I’ve been furloughed.

Apart from that it’s cleaning, de-cluttering, keeping in touch with friends by phone/email & wasting too much time on the Internet. Evenings are board games and cards; we did watch a film for the first time this evening.

Leaannb · 02/04/2020 23:10

I'm doing some crocheting and knitting in the hotel room and when I'm home I have been playing Kingdom Hearts

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 02/04/2020 23:10

Work, and research for work. It needs doing anyway.

AnneLovesGilbert · 02/04/2020 23:11

I tightened the handles on my pots and pans. Highly recommended.

Bouncebacker · 02/04/2020 23:13

No free time ! Two DCs and studying full time

idontgetpaidenoughforthis · 02/04/2020 23:14

Knitting and crochet is keeping me sane 😁

LittleCandle · 02/04/2020 23:15

Stitching for about 8 hours a day. I tend to do what needs to be done housework-wise (washing, hoovering etc), then plonk myself down in front of the TV (it doesn't have to be on!) and sew. I'm doing great guns on a huge project and loving every moment!

EmmaC78 · 02/04/2020 23:16

I am still working from home and it has been pretty busy so aside from that i have been either runnjng or doing a fitnesss dvd each day plus watching loads of rubbish on netflix.

Pipandmum · 02/04/2020 23:18

Learning a new craft (needle felting) and decluttering and reorganizing. Kitchen done. Now everything is visible, in date and I know exactly what I have. Never need to buy rice again that's for sure!

SassenachWitch · 02/04/2020 23:19

Sims mobile for me.

I have 5 children so far, much easier than real ones. I only have to spend an hour a day with the ones in my phone Grin

Bananacloud · 02/04/2020 23:21

Oh my god!!!! LOVE sims
Player since 2004ish

Pillowaddict · 02/04/2020 23:21

Zero free time...2 kids to "school", have/had the virus so been bedridden for several days, and also meant to be home working (thankfully off sick last few days as couldn't raise my head). The struggle I had prior to being off sick with kids and work left me no doubt free time is non existent here...so fuck the idea of fun hobbies!

Stompythedinosaur · 02/04/2020 23:21

Not finding I have a whole lot of free time atm as I'm making up work hours during the evening. I am trying to get some gardening in with the dc though.

PickAChew · 02/04/2020 23:26

Free time? Not even trying to home school and that ain't happening! Dh is working all day and the boys are bored and sick of each other. And a simple food shop takes hours.

Knitting in the evening, though. Just started a sport weight sweater :/

Femail · 02/04/2020 23:27

No free time as I'm working and keep being asked to do overtime and have a disabled dd

makingmiracles · 02/04/2020 23:28

Sleeping a lot, like really a lot, even preschooler dd is lying in some days till 10!!
Trying to prep the house for decorating, trying to tackle Mould problem in various rooms.
Spending too much time online, saving links etc for home schooling and not actually getting to the point of using them yet.
Diamond painting when I’m really bored, bought myself a huge horse one for Xmas so working my way through that.
Cleaning and doing what seems like endless washing.
Doing mundane pointless jobs I always put off like cleaning out cupboards etc

YeOldeTrout · 02/04/2020 23:28

I have a load of potential garden projects... instead I am very busy with WFH. FFS, how did I used to commute for 2 hrs/day? Feeling confused.

Brissiegirl · 02/04/2020 23:28

Worked parttime from home for last few years so no change there. Dd21 now working from home - first few days were spent getting to know each other again ! but enjoying gaving her aroynd now. Dh still working so no change. I've been doing alot of gardening, reading and some decluttering in time I would have previously met friends for coffee & lunches. Only shoppingis food for this house and a 2nd shop for my parents. They are very fit 85 yr olds who are badly missing their normal lives and visitors

WomanIsTaken · 02/04/2020 23:43

That sounds lovely, Ragwort!
I am a primary teacher, so have been setting home learning tasks for my class and giving feedback while sorting out my own primary aged kids' home learning. Head spins after a morning of that! Also going in to school to teach key workers' children on a rota basis.
As my school is now going to be open over the Easter holidays, I have been planning work to cover this period for all pupils, whether in school or at home, over the last few days. It's been really nice to plan something over and above the regular curriculum that everyone will find stimulating.
I have really enjoyed the connection with parents over email since the closure; lots of parents needing help with aspects of their children's learning and it's been nice to offer that support. I've also been able to write letters and reports for parents who now need support with housing and access arrangements etc.
I have really enjoyed putting together a little collection of photos from the previous terms for each pupil, just pictures we've taken for assessment and recording purposes, showing each pupil learning in class, to email to them to remind them of their 'school selves'. I miss them to bits and am actually relieved that we are continuing to provide education over Easter as it means we are still able to support our many vulnerable families.

NemophilistRebel · 02/04/2020 23:48

Extra lie ins
Cooking nice meals
Gardening when weather was nice
Reading
Making things in clay
Crocheting a blanket for yet to be born baby
More sex than normal
Loads of washing
Walking a government mandated amount of time each day

RichardMarxisinnocent · 02/04/2020 23:51

I downloaded Sims 4 too and am also addicted. I am playing with a sim I created (I built her a house, found her boyfriend, had them get married after one date, and they have just moved house Grin) and with an existing family who already had one child and then had a baby. Part of me is wishing I had just stuck to one family, but i don't really want to abandon either of the ones I have.

Redyoyo · 02/04/2020 23:54

I have none, home schooling 2 kids and working 9 hour days from home, i have to available on Skype from 8 till 5 so i can't even get a decent break, I'm too shattered do anything after I've made dinner.

Femail · 02/04/2020 23:54

Grin I love the sims 4

torthecatlady · 03/04/2020 00:00

Cooking, baking, cleaning, decluttering, feeding dcat1+2 dreamies, laundry... it's never ending.

Also chatting with neighbours over the wall, keeping in touch with friends and colleagues (not working from home, I'm furloughed). Played some theme hospital, arranged mortgage holiday, filed lots of paperwork. Lots of Mumsnet and Facebook.

I have a major to-do list... which I have barely touched, but I suspect that I have plenty of time to get it done unfortunately!

TeaLibrary · 03/04/2020 00:11

I'm NHS staff. Myself and my colleagues are working flat out. We don't have any free time as such at the moment. We are bracing ourselves for what is potentially to come.
