I have 3dc so between “home schooling” and general mum stuff I’v downloaded Sims 4 for the laptop and oh my god, I wish I hadn’t. I’m addicted 😂🙈 Iv spent many hours making a family, designing a house etc. My Sim had twins and it was so bloody hard looking after them I ended up making a new sim 😂🙈

So what are you doing?

Dh is learning the guitar through youtube.

Thinking of you, Teal Flowers

Ragwort · 03/04/2020 09:26

Good wishes Teal, it would be great if there were more initiatives where we could ‘help’ Key workers - I know locally some of the takeaway restaurants are giving free meals to key workers, offering to do shopping, walk dogs etc.

happinessischocolate · 03/04/2020 09:54

I only got furloughed on Tuesday

Plan to do dog walk, yoga, sort the house out and some online training every day.

In reality I'll probably just spend my whole time on here and Netflix 😂

Bearnecessity · 03/04/2020 10:14

I cleared off a load of stuff off my laptop had an IT clear out, backed up photos etc. painted a picture and wrote a letter to the residents of a local nursing home (they had requested them through the local paper). Managed to get my DS to saw down an old tree. I could oil the garden furniture or clean the oven but may stay on the sofa with another cup of tea.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 03/04/2020 10:16

I downloaded Sims 4 too OP - I have 2 DC so don't have much time to play though! I love it though and keep trying to pair up my sims so they can have babies and what not 😂

I'm also, when I can, reading more. Re-reading the Austen novels, on Sense and Sensibility and thoroughly enjoying it

Woman31 · 03/04/2020 10:41

I’m doing the “moving up challenge” on the sims, really recommend it! I downloaded the city living for it 😂 I started in a gross apartment with rats and making my way to the penthouse lol

Thank you and love to everyone still working and/or struggling with little DC.

I am making lists of Things I Could Do which include sorting the garden, tidying the kitchen cupboards, learning to knit, sorting my photos into albums. I draw little tick boxes and have subdivisions and everything.

Then I put my pen down and go back to bed and Mumsnet and play with the cat.

Tomorrow I might make a list of Things I Could Cook.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 03/04/2020 11:00

Going back to bed to play with the cat isn't an euphemism, by the way Blush It's a real live cat.

WtfIsThisEven · 03/04/2020 11:08

My house is the cleanest it’s been in years... Blush

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 03/04/2020 11:13

I cleaned the oven, and not even Christmas.

ZaraW · 03/04/2020 11:16

I'm at work so nothing has changed for me.

Bananacloud · 03/04/2020 11:17

Which expansion pack has rats OP?

flirtygirl · 03/04/2020 11:17

I'm lying in bed on mumsnet like I normally am.

vanillandhoney · 03/04/2020 11:20

I've managed to get a lot of cleaning done.
Re-decorated the living room.
Watched a LOT of TV.
Started to teach myself Spanish on DuoLingo.
Done some online training for my currently-closed business.
Had naps with the dog.
Ate far too many biscuits.

thecatsthecats · 03/04/2020 11:21

Making real progress editing my novel.

Otherwise working very slowly through household and life admin to do lists. No need to rush things, we're in this for the long term.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 03/04/2020 11:23

Also did my tax return.

CorianderLord · 03/04/2020 11:25

Reading and yoga generally

IStressheadI · 03/04/2020 11:31

I'm in the odd position of not really doing much different than if I weren't locked down. I'm on maternity leave with a 12 week old.
Right now I'm focusing on trying to get him to reach for stuff. And to stop chewing his fingers until they go red.

MuseumOfYou · 03/04/2020 12:12

Working our way through 5 series of Last Tango in Halifax.

Woman31 · 03/04/2020 12:31

i have no free time. i work full time and home school. i‘m lucky if i get something to ear most days

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 03/04/2020 13:00

One run a day. Reading, tv and napping. In fact I just woke up Smile

Wejustdontknow · 03/04/2020 13:11

Still working, still at uni (open university) but have the added pleasure of ds13 and ds6 to also entertain and homeschool. The reality is I haven’t picked up a uni book in over a week, have a deadline of next week for two essays I haven’t started and we are all spending to much time on screens. Plan for the weekend is to set a proper schedule for myself and stick to it to get everything done that I need to each day as if I didn’t leave things till last minute I am sure I would have time for everything

DarlingCoffee · 03/04/2020 13:18

Couch to 5k
Baking
Tarot card reading
Decluttering the garage
Gardening

CeeCeeEnnEss · 03/04/2020 13:18

No actual free time here, despite having lost my job. Feral child needing constant entertainment and a level of schooling, plus a DH key worker who is basically at work all the time.
